I am looking for a woman to talk to just to keep my mind from going insane. I was just laid off this week. I am a mid 30s male.

I am looking for someone to talk to, exchange pictures, or some dirty chats.

Kik: paranoiddrake

Also feel free to message me on yahoo, pm me here, or use hangouts (pm me for email)

Hard Times

I got laid off three years ago, the only warning was when the Administrators walked in and told everyone they were laid off. I didn't get paid for three months and never did get my holiday pay.

The universe never compensated me, I lost my home because I couldn't meet the rent and by the end of the year I had a hole in the toe of my UGG boots and could only wear black socks.

I didn't get a better job but I did get a job. It took a while and you do wonder if the fates are against you. It is hard and the most horrible people appear to get all the luck, they have a house, the lover, the car and it feels you have nothing.

The trick is keep the eye on what you have got and think of those who haven't got it and feel grateful.

Mine were

Goodish health, your health is your real wealth!

Not being in a violent relationship

Not being in a unhappy relationship

Not living in a war torn country

Having a large amount of freedom

Dare I say sites like this helped and Orgasms.

I would job search every morning and read filth every afternoon, sort out my tensions, have a nap, wake up feeling loads better

Good Luck

Good luck lovely, top tip - when you spot something you like, don’t just apply online - see if you can find a phone number, call HR or whoever and ask a question, even if you already know the answer. Then you can lead into ‘oh great, I was really pleased to spot this ad because it seems a really good fit for my experience,’ etc... I used this tactic when I took redundancy and it worked, I got fast tracked to interviews. In one case I was told to send my resume straight to the person that took my call , in another they told me to still apply online but they’d look out for my application, which they did...

These departments can get hugely busy and they get a lot of speculative applications - if you reach the people that sift them, you really are doing them a favour, x

I’m sorry to hear about this! I went through similar, and became homeless. I’m also in the “found something, but not something better” crowd. I now have two jobs and work myself into exhaustion - having only three days off a month. Working hard to make sure something like this never happens again, before looking for a ‘better’ job.

My advice would be to apply for absolutely everything - it’s easier to get a job when already employed, so don’t be afraid to take on anything while you look for that better job. I don’t get to use my qualifications in either of the jobs I’m currently doing, but I’ve definitely learned a few useful things!

Thanks for the replies. This was my first experience in the "you no longer have a job" department, and it has been doing great.

I appreciate the advice and the comfort from the people here.

Also to new people, still looking women to talk to.
