Just for fun........

Because so many people start out a relationship on such and intense note, especially in a D/s relationship, feelings grow quickly. I have heard the terms "Master's love," and "subbie love." But I think there should be a word that is in between like and love.

This is just for fun, and I bet those around here can come up with some really good words.

Thank you....:D

my personal favorite has always been lurve. More of a friendly than a truly deep feeling, but deeper than just friendship.

I like this one... I was looking for an "L" word. It sounds cute to say too... 'I lurve you'

Thanks entitled :rose:

Don't thank me too much. i 'borrowed' it from a friend of mine and never gave it back. ;)

You're welcome anyway. :D

Just one of the wonderful things about Tiggers. Tiggers are wonderful things, you know. ;)

Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs.... :D

I find the french, "He t'aime" fits nicely into the chasm between like and love.

While I know it translates literally as "I love you," whenever I have heard it, it tend to mean exactly what you are suggesting here.

I dont have any suggestions, but will eagerly wait for more options... this is something I am struggling w/ right now, so I like the timing. Ty

Just a note from a 'natural' Dominant:

Why split the difference? Can we not accept love for what it is? Now, granted, I cannot accept purely online love...once you have met a few times, why not just say 'I love you'?

I am in love...so ignore me for being unobjective.

well my favorite way to put it has always been

*adore*

but usually, if i love, whether it's a crush or a full out body rockin' lust match built along the lines of *heaven*...well i just say...*i love YOU*

cuz no matter how you say it...love covers everything good....

(small hijack) HI golden one...I am home... (end hijack)

I tend to have people I like, people I am friends with, people I am close friends with, people I love, people I lust after, people I am passionate about (bats eyelids at Johnnie), and very very occasionally, people I am "in love" with. So I distinguish between love (which covers many things, from family to friends to lovers) and being "in love".

Love is such a confusing word though! I think I like the "adore". Passionate is a good one too. "I am passionate about you!" (Of course, that could mean you passionately want to kill someone, but hey.)

See I do not believe in the concept of "being in love".

I believe there is only love. It has different manifestations, but it is still just love.

YMMV

I am happy for you that you are in love... that is wonderful:) However... there are times when you feel things for a person, but it is not yet love... not to say it will be, or wont be, but love, I belive, comes with time, trust, and knowledge. There must be some word to describe this in-between stage... some word other than obsession, that is.:p

You give the EXACT reason for why I wnted a new word! I am talking about that stage in a relationship where you like the person on such a level that it has an intensity all it's own, not quite love, but so much more than like.

IMA, I think stalker works here. I'm a stalkering someone... HEHE just kidding I kind of think the word lurve is cute. :D

thought of a new one

but it's not a one word answer....

*intensely lustful liking*

i discovered this feeling awhile back thanks to a certain *SHE*

but i stick to my original feeling about the word love....

Pet, I agree with your thought on the word love.... as there are many different types of love. There are some people though that tend to freak out when someone says the 'L' word, unaware that love has many forms.

I also like the phrase *intensely lustful liking*... it describes perfectly how I felt about a few people.

Hope that you are smiling still, and that things are going great for you... miss ya!
