Driving in was the worst ever. Got up a 4:30am in DC and had clear sailing until we could see the skyline. So sad, what skyline. A whole in the sky with a gray cloud billowing up and away. That's when we hit the traffic. It took us 3.5 hours from about Newark AP, through the Lincoln Tunnel and over to the East Side. The City's in Uber Gridlock. Our cab ride from the West Side (where we park our car) to the Upper East Side took about an hour an cost a whopping $18. A new record for us.

I need to get away again already - a motorcycle trip up north would be nice. Maybe tomorrow.

Anyway all is fairly cool here. They're still digging of course - that will go on for quite a while. I saw three funeral processions while in the cab - so sad. And hey, they're lucky! They've got a loved one to have a funeral with. So many won't know for a long, long time. Some maybe never.

Anyway the weather is nice - I hope at least that's nice where you are too.

I don't even know what's happening in Florida. Hope they're all okay.

This is going to be a long one - hang tough.

Sparkster......glad to see your still doing fine.

In Florida we still got our beaches. A friend of mine lives more south and he said it sucked down there this wknd. But, we got sunshine again, and a nice cool front to boot.

Most in my area are collecting money, or giving blood to send to help in New York. Its all we can do to help. Some store in Jax(east of me) loaded up a couple of semis with digging supplies, hats, buckets, shovels, etc....to send up there this wk.

I am so amazed at how quickly a country can come together.

Except for Falwell. Im still pissed with him.

Hi, Sparky. Glad to see you're still around- you were quiet for a few days and I was starting to wonder.
