It is only a little henna one, the chinese symbol for love on my ankle... too cowardly to get the real thing done!

Anyone that has a REAL tattoo - is it really painful to have done??

:)

I agree with Mistress, it didn't hurt to much when I was getting them done but it was sore for a little while afterward.

But the little bit of pain was well worth it.

vivica i'm with you... too cowardly to get it done.

but I want two one on each shoulder, vampire one side, angel the other. Both about 4-5 inches, I'm to scared it will hurt or mess up.

Mellon you have tattoos?
Mind if I ask of what? (I adore ink art)

Here's where mine is on my lower back...I'm a slow healer its been almost three weeks and the scabs are almost gone....

I'll be going back to get a touch up done though cause it faded in some places...

hot vibrating needle, feels kinda yummy. I can't wait for my next one.

The one on the inside of my hip and in toward my labia was done so long ago that i've forgotten the healing details. The one high and to the inside of shoulder i got a couple birthdays ago was like a sunburn for a week or so afterwards... and didn't hurt at all going on.

I'm getting another sometime between "right now" and "a long time from now". This one'll be on my mons. I think i might feel that one more than the others, however, i love the feeling of getting a tat so...

Tattoos

I have a tat right above my left breast of a butterfly with a chain wrapped around a heart. Because i really believe that butterflys are free, it's our hearts that chain us down. That one also has a property patch with More's initials in it. I also have one in the middle of my back of two hearts joined together with wings. That's the way i felt when More and I fell in love about a thousand years ago:p Took about a week for each to heal, and niether process hurt going on or healing. This summer I am gunna get something tribal on my leg. If i can find an original. I never use copys, mine were both made for me only. I am unique and want my Tats the same way ;)

I have a tat on each upper arm. 1 is a band all the way around. That one just about hurt going under my arm. But the worst part was still the healing.

The other tat was done by a loser who had a deathgrip on my arm. That hurt more than anything else. I would not have had this guy give me a tat, but I was with some Outlaws at that time and didnt have a choice... Well I did have a choice, Getting the tat was the beter of 2.

I love all my ink. Pain is a state of mind. Really though, the tattoo needle didn't hurt me........made me sweat a bit, but didn't hurt.

This is a pic of my tribal band around my ankle........it did "twitch" my ankle when he came around my achille's tendon........

Enjoy your ink, I do. Soon I will have more ink on me (and by the way this is a pic of one of mine, I have 4 tat's :D )

Thanks Kiwi............I goto one of the best tattoo shops in the Carolinas, heck maybe even in the Southeast and get mine done. The guy who does mine is NOT cheap, but he is one of the best. Those tat's in the thread posted above are over 10 years old and look like new still today.

I am getting an arm band similar in nature to my tribal one on my ankle. Just haven't quite nailed down when, yet.

I dig my Taz tat. He is my kid idol. Taz and Wiley Coyote. :D

The pain depends on where you have your tat done. I have one on the small of my back, basically over my tail bone, hurt like hell! Well, the outline did not hurt, but the color hurt horribly. Plus I was bent over a tall bar stool so my skin was taunt, normally I would love to be bent over a stool :D but this was 4 hours worth of staying absolutely still as a needle inked my skin.
But, I do not regret what I did, I love my tatoo, I designed it and it is a part of me.
From what I understand if you have a tat inked over a bone, it will hurt more than on a fleshier area.
My only advice is to have something done that you love because tatoo removal surgery hurts more than the tatoo!

Hi Viv!

Just take the plunge, its not that bad. Its going to hurt, some places more than others, but its not a pain you can't handle! :)

I didn't notice but did anyone send you over to the Official tat thread? go check it out when you get a chance!
