Just curious - does anybody care about this?

Does anyone on Literotica care, or even know, that Visa and Mastercard just forced Steam and other erotic game providers to remove thousands of NSFW games or else lose their payment processing? Basically shutting down huge parts of the "adult" internet? And this was not "illegal" content, it wasn't even "real", it was just adult stuff that a small organized group complained about.

Seems like there should be more discussion of this on Literotica. I'm puzzled that there's not. Between this and the UK nonsense it seems like we all moved to China overnight. I've got a half dozen stories ready to go and I'm not sure I even want to put them out now.

Now that you mention it the timing does seem suspicious. I haven't seen anybody connect the two incidents that directly, though. The Australian group that is claiming credit for the Steam thing ("Collective Shout") seems to have been around for a while.

Right, and the fact these are games probably has them concerned kids are downloading it.

I have no issue with age verification on porn or erotic content except that a lot of people may not want to give their personal information just to watch porn hub so there's always the underlying "hey, maybe this will get rid of porn' shadow behind it.

But for anyone involved with adult content at all, including myself who sells erotic e-books, the sky is always falling, and we've been being cancelled for years. I worry about it when the time comes.

I think you may be confusing "online gaming" with "online gambling." It's certainly possible to spend a lot of money for an online GAMING computer, but usually it's no more expensive than other hobbies. Of course there are exceptions.

There is some overlap, but just gaming has expenses with online accounts. Gaming addicts may neglect the jobs they need to pay for gaming. They may even quit their jobs for the fantasy of becoming professional gamers.
