I am feeling really discouraged about writing right now. Mainly because I decided to rewrite so of my "poorly written" stories and resubmit them. I left a thread here telling Lit friends about it. They are finally all posted and still I got bad voted and reviews.

GEEZ THIS is so depressing! I'm keeping my chin up and hanging by a thread.............as I don't intend to give up my writing. Call this a bad hair day...

Don't worry about it, Kandi. Your stories are just fine. The rewrites are a lot better than the originals. The "bad votes" are all part of the troll system on Lit. Bad reviews are just one 3rd grader's opinion. Keep going. It's a long road from good stories to great, but you are on the way

Thanks Jenny...HHUUGGGGS! I guess I was just having one of those bad days. You know the kind that makes yah want to shove it under the carpet and stomp the hell out of. :-> ! I have to give myself that little pep talk every now and then....telling myself my stories are better and hell yes one day they will be great. Girl you're just too dan inpatient.

Darlin' your rewrites are pretty good, the public comments are positive - and you handle grammar and punctuation pretty well. That puts you way up the pecking order here.

I did wonder why you chose 'First Time' for Ami 2. Readers there are looking more for high school virgins with cotton panties. Why didn't you stick with mature.

Put the mopes on one side girl. You are writing better and better, you are enjoying writing and people are reading you - seems pretty positive to me.

Keep going and make sure you have an editor who not only proofreads, but also comments on plotline and characters. When we write we see the characters in our heads - it often takes someone else to say 'Why did that happen?'

You's doing much too good to be down. Best cure is to go and write something new.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I also have jumped right back into writing. I just sent it to the editor, who is on vacation. My editor is GREAT and proofreading, letting me know about plot as well as characters.

When I first looked at the posted stories before redoing them I noticed they had them in three different story categories. I have no idea why, so I sent a PM to Laurel. When I resubmitted them I put them in the "Mature" category and don't know why they were not posted that way. (I just found out how to have it posted in the "mature" catefory and it should be corrected soon.)

Thanks. When I look back at my first stories in 2002 I turn green and realize I have come a long way. Like all writers I have my good days and bad days and right now health problems and pain. I don't intend to give up writing at all. I enjoy it too much. Leave a copy of the story laying on the kitchen table.....and make up a story that your proof reading them..........works every time. LOL!!
