Just about had a new webcam and digi camera !!!!

Ok so I go do some banking this morning, walking past an electronics shop and I think… "Ahh what the hell lets go price some digi cameras and some webcams"… so in I go, don’t really know much about them at all.

Cool I find one that is a webcam and digi camera all in one…. The guy asks if I have a USP port or somethingi like that so I shake my head. So he sells me a converter for a port just in case I don’t and if I do, I can bring it back….cool.

So I notice some CD writers sitting there on special at a great price and I think "what the hell I’ll have one of those also Mr."

And of course all the way I’m saying to him, "Do these work with Windows 95."
He says "YES." So that’s cool….

So I take my digi camera/webcam and CD writer home. No USP port thingi so I set that up, I’m thinking "cool, clever chicki".

So I load the camera gear into the computer…. The programs say they are loaded but something is not quite write. So I reload them all….. then I read the box it all came in, like I had hoped the shop assistant had. Yep, wouldn’t you F**k’inwell know it, they only support Windows 98 and up.

F**K F**K F**K F**K F**K and double F**K for the final shot.

So I ring the stuff’in shop and say, "HEY dry balls what the stuff’in story, I asked if these ran on Windows 95 and you said YES".
"DUH doesn’t it." he says. At that moment I wanted to reach through the fibre optics like we have all wanted to at some stage.!!

So I ask him if they have any other cameras/cam that run on Windows 95. He said "yes we have, come on back." I’m thinking "Yeah right Bowzo, you told me that once before." So I told him to go check while I waited on the phone. And of course he come back and tells me that none run on 95 only 98 and above !!!!!!!

So I unhook everything and take them back to the shop for a full cash refund!!!!!!! Why couldn’t the dry balls of read up on when I asked while in the shop and seen that it would not run on 95!!!!!!!

So I shall look out the 98 I have sitting here somewhere and install, but I’m not going back to that bloody shop to buy the stuff, they can naff off !!!!

So now I gotta ring me IT guy to come install my CD Writer………

Ok, vent over….

And the moral of the story is: If you are a stuff’in shop assistant, know what the hell you are selling !!!!!!!

You should install win98 before you set up the cd writer as it will need the win98 drivers when you change to that sooner or later anyway. You will like win98.. very similar to win95

Well the guy assured me the second visit that the CD Writer would work with 95 and the box said it would

Just buy a digital camcorder, new ones have usb cables to hook up for a pc cam, and you can also print stills from any frame on it.
Best pc pic you can get is thru digital camcorder.

I already have 98 sitting here, I loaded it about a year or so ago but had trouble with my scanner so took it off. But Thumbs told me today the trouble might of been I did not update the scanner drivers at the same time, so I might just have to try again.
