I'm wondering a few things... how do i subscribe to a thread and second... when i have submitted something (4 works) where do i see the voting status and what does it do?
Just a thought...

You can subscribe to any thread in the "thread tools" in the top of the thread.
You can see the votes, etc, on your work on your member page where you submitted them. Just click "view submissions" on the left of the page. I'm not sure what you mean by 'what does it do'.

Minsue's given you the basics
the votes, are your tally really, to give an idea of how well your story is recieved (don't use them to make how good your story is, use the feedback you get for that) and if it's good enough to get into the monthly competitions or if you enter them, the seasonal special competitions.
