Just A Simple Poet

So this is life!
Whirling, singing, Oceans,
Deserts, mountains and cities.
A reflection of you and me.

A flame rages, trumpets trumpet,
And chestnut-colored hogs race,
Then the agitating lips, a rose
Of happiness, it seems, repeat.

And sorrow and joy, now again,
Again, as before, as always,
The ocean gestures a grey mame,
a white dove, deserts, cities arise.

But when, at last, arising
From sleep, will i again be me ------
Just a simple poet, dozing
On a hallowed evening, by a stream!

i once again speak my words
the words of a brilliant light,
naught the words from deafly ears
but the words from my heart.

Definitely interesting. But I'm afraid I don't understand this line:
And chestnut-colored hogs race,

Are we talking oink or motorcycle?

You made me smile ...
I ask what would you like it to be?
I then lean over and wisper in your ear ..think Harley..

Softlead

Okay, Harley is a much better image but not the first one I had. I saw racing pigs. lol

Another question:
The ocean gestures a grey mame

Should that be mane? If so, really great image.

Hello, Softlead, welcome to the board. You seem to bring with you a good eye for beautiful imagery. Hoping to see more of that in the future..

Yes, let me add to that welcome, Softlead. I much enjoyed your poem, which feels so full of positive energy. Really, a smile of a poem--racing pigs and all. :)

Hope you'll stick around and keep sharing that goodwill.
