Was anyone else ever grossed out by the name of Mr. Green Jeans? The images it brought to my little girl mind were never pretty.

It wasn't until years later that I realized those were two separate words. I thought it was Mr. "something kinda odd that didn't sound like a real last name". It wasn't until I came across it in print that everything clicked.
Just had another thought. Why did Trolley always tinkle? (sorry, jumping to different show). Did anyone else find that odd?

Yeah. Why did it tinkle? And why would Fred have it in his house? And those cardigans, what's up with those things. We had a wacko we loved up here in Canada named Mr Dress-up. You want some weird plot bunnies, check that guy out. Or Uncle Bobby with Bimbo the Birthday Clown. There's another one that smacked of twisted.

Did he have a brother named Mr. Cross-Dress-up?![]()

No, I didn't have any problem with Mr Green Jeans, but Uncle Phlegm Jacket was a bit much.
