I just noticed something about the voting on stories that has probably been going on all along but just came to my attention. I have a story posted that a couple of weeks ago had a total of just over 300 votes and a few days later the vote count was 298. The count went up again to 307 and is now back to 305. Can anyone explain the vote counting process and why the total goes up and down. Thx KK

Go to "Vanishing Votes" and "Votes" threads, especially the former, tons of links there.

Thank God cloudy's not here, she'd rant again.

This is a mystery that has plagued Lit writers for years. I did an exploration of the question some weeks ago. Eventually I discovered a large cave in a previously unexplored mountain region in Uganda. There I found, not only all the missing votes stolen from Lit, but the remains of millions of elephants and all the single socks that disappear in the laundry.

I have a map which I will sell to you for a sizable fee if you like :D
