Lily eyed Aunt Ada and Aunt Ida with disdain.

"No, I won't." Her defiance wasn't as meek as she appeared to the town's people, but that was because she knew these twins perfectly.
"Whatever you are concocting, I won't have it!" She stamped her tiny foot down for emphasis on the hard wood floors.

"Now dear heart, it's just a date." Aunt Ida.

"Now listen to reason Lily, " Aunt Ada was always interrupting, "We're not getting any younger and you're in our care. You need a man to take care of you.." She always blackmailed with her pleading eyes, if it weren't for the dead animal on Aunt Ada's hat, she might feel something akin to sympathy.

Both twins were dressed extremely weird, they knew it. She knew it. Hell the whole town talked about their eccentric behavior! One in pink and the other in purple. Full dresses, odd beads and rings. And she wasn't even going to get into the wide brimmed straw hats both seemed to favor, decorated with this and that... it was just... weird! Lily was forever the mockery in this town, no one daring to upset the elderly "witches" to their face.

"Billy, remember him? Well since you two cursed him..."

"Blessed him dear.."

"Cursed him! He hasn't been able to even talk in my presence!" Lily fumed hot and loud, but she was so petite she never scared anyone.. not even her cat Demon.

"We did not cause him to get tongue tied.." Ida again.

"We certainly did not, we merely wanted to help him talk to you since the boy was so shy..."

"AND now he won't speak to me.." She whined a little but hell any single gal at the age of twenty three would whine if they had Aunts like she did! They interfered in everything!

"We just want what is best for you dear." Aunt Ida looked sorry, as usual, for another prospective husband 'gone for the hills'.

"Please, just..." She sighed heavily, wishing that for once life would go easier. They never listened to her, she wanted real love, not something brewed or concocted in a potion and force fed to some guy she wasn't even attracted to! "Just let me find my own way?"

How many times had they had this exact same conversation over the past four years? More than Lily could count, much more. She sighed again, raised her hand in a helpless shrug before quietly leaving the room.

As soon as she was out of sight, Aunt Ada was reaching for her list of men and scratching Billy off.

"Well, we still have ten more prospects."

Ida clucked her tongue is dismay and said nothing. Ada had her mind made up and nothing ever stopped Ada when Ada wanted something done. Match-maker genes Ada was proud of, would not fail.. according to Ada. Ida had other ideas for men but would wait until Ada compiled a new list.

Then she stopped her needlework and smiled at Ada, "What about Betsy's grandson?"

"Betsy has a grandson?"

"Yes, at the funeral, remember him?"

"No."

"Ah, well it was a thought."

"You mean that city fella?"

"That is him."

Ada was quiet a moment then shook her head negatively. "No, not him. We want her to stay where her roots are, not be moved off to some city where she'd be miserable."

"But.."

"No buts Ida, keep Lily away from that one. We'll be neighborly of course, Betsy was a dear friend.. But .. Oh hell, why am I worried? Lily has never.. never noticed a single man since she lost her parents. She'd never look twice at some city slicker with a fancy car.." Ida said nothing about Ada's prediction. Ada had the 'gift' after all and could 'see' things. So surely Ada would know more than anyone else about this.

"I'm sure you're right Ada dear."

******

In her bedroom at the top of the old house, Lily sat down at the vanity and sighed heavily.

When would they give it up? She didn't want just any man to love, she wanted that only love she was born for! Couldn't they understand it? Of course not, they thought there was a cure for everything or a potion.

Chuckling, she shook her head as she changed her clothes. She had some gardening to do. Her eyes went to the single window to stare at Betsy's house. She sure missed the 'old bat'...

Jason McFly

Jason McFly pulls up the large house in his small red Mazda MX-5 sportscar. Turning off the ignition, he sits back in his seat and looks at his grandma's home. Remembering the summer holidays he had spent there as a kid.

It hasn't changed a bit! He thinks to himself, easily picturing Grandma Betsy waiting for him on the porch. A glass of lemonade in her hand.

Getting out of his car, he pulls on his sunglasses and makes his way up the large garden path, noting how immaculate the garden is. His grandma had always loved gardening and by its condition, you would never have believed that she only died two short weeks ago. He had been in Europe at the time with his fiance, Felicity. He had, of course, came back for the funeral, while Felicity had stayed out there to finish some business deal her father had concocted.

God! he misses her!

Going up the creaky wooden steps which lead onto the porch, he finds the large front door is already unlocked. For an instance, he wonders if someone has broken in before remembering what sort of town Sleepy Willow (named after the giant willow tree in its centre) is. Like the house, the town doesn't seem to have changed since his childhood where the biggest problem the local sheriff had was helping the old ladies to cross the road.

Stepping into the dark hallway, he can almost believe he is that small boy again as the old recognisable smells assault him. What he would give to see his grandma one more time.

Brrrinnnggg!

In an instant, his cell phone is out of his pocket and pressed to his ear.

"Jason, honey! It's your smoochkins (Felicity)! I just wondered what you are doing. You there yet?"

She means his grandma's house.

"Yes, darling." He answers. "I just got here..."

"Oh goody! Now you are going to sell that ghastly - oh I mean your grandmother's place ASAP and get back to me as soon as you can. I am missing you terribly and I just got to tell you about this new outfit I have bought. You will simply love it! Anyway, I must dash. My daddy's client is here. Toodle-loo!" and the phone goes dead.

Smiling, Jason pockets the phone and goes on to explore...

Lily

"Remember to clean up the choke week around the catnip dear."

"Yes Aunt Ida." Lily stood at the door way with basket, gloves and mini-shovel in hand, trying to assure her Aunt for the billionth time she knew how to weed!

Lily had merely turned to go down the steps when Aunt Ida stepped out with her, more instructions, "Make sure the..." Her voice trailed off as a sleek sports car pulled up next door.

Seeing only a faint outline of the person inside, Lily's curiosity was peaked. Who was that?

A rather tall looking man got out of the car and slowly moved around it. But it was enough for Lily to see all of him, all she needed to see that is.

Her heart sped up and her hands became sweaty as her beating heart about jumped from her body in response to this stranger.

"Oh my.." She barely pushed the words through her lips as her widening eyes took him in. He had dark hair, wavy and looked rather thick. Neatly cut, but a rather cute style. His eyes she couldn't make out, but he was of slim build, not too weak nor overly strong. He had a goatee to match his hair and a faint smile on his face.

She felt her pulse leap yet again as she spied a glitter of gold at his ear... An ear ring? She smiled faintly, watching his every movement until he vanished up into the house.

"Who was that?" She turned to Aunt Ida with a radiant smile on her face, her happiness at finally finding the right one was clearly showing.

"Oh dear!" Ida paled as she had been watching Lily's reaction to Jason. And with Lily's question, she merely repeated herself in a more forlorn manner, "Oh dear!" before turning back into the house and shutting the door practically in Lily's face.

"What was that all about?!" Very confused about Aunt Ida's reaction to her simple question, she gave a weak shrug and headed for the back gardens. There was no fencing between Betsy's house and their own, but there were walls and not many windows on this side.

"damn the luck.." She sat down in the dirt and hoped she'd get another peek at the new arrival.. Maybe her new neighbor?

She certainly hoped so! She couldn't win him over if he left too soon.. But deep down her heart knew, without knowing his name or his faults.. he was hers!

*****

"He's back!"

"Who?"

"Jason!"

"Who's Jason?"

"Ada May Booth! Don't play coy at a time like this! You know exactly who Jason is! Stop pretending!"

Ada turned to eye her sister, her jaw firmly set as she turned back to her reading.. Completely ignoring Ida.

"She seen him." Ida said meekly, sitting down to study her sister's stubbornly set shoulders.. waiting.

"So?"

"Well, remember when you told Jason he'd be a heart breaker when he grew up?"

That got no comment.

"Well he did.. And Lily noticed!"

"Again, I must repeat myself. So?"

"She noticed!" Ida insisted.

"No?!" Ada turned then, wide eyed as it sank into her stubborn brain.

"How could she notice him? Certainly not! Why..." Ada's words trailed off.

"This is Betsy's doing!" Ada hissed before she slammed her book shut with a loud snap.

"How can that dear woman be responsible for this?! She's dead, Ada." Ida had the gall to stare at her sister as if Ada had suddenly sprouted two heads.

"I don't know, but I know she's to blame for this. That woman was always.. always talking about him!"

"And until he showed up, Lily paid it no mind." Ida carefully pointed out.

"Yeah well, he upped and left! He has no ties here, he hasn't been here for twenty or so years. He is unknown and untrustworthy. You best be makin' sure Lily don't get any ideas in her head about that one.." Ada huffed and puffed, glowering at the far wall.

"You thought he was an upright young man at one time.."

"I don't know him no more and that is to remain that!" Ada got up and stormed off towards the stairs, most likely going to plot if Ida knew her sister at all.. and she did!

"ADA! Don't you be messin' with things!" Ida rarely warned her sister off, but she seen Lily's face first hand..

"Lord be merciful!" She muttered in prayer. Poor Lily was in love for the first time and if Ada had her way, it wouldn't last.

"Well.. as long as Jason doesn't notice Lily.. we're all good and well.." She smiled, forcefully cheering herself up with fanciful wishes. Perhaps she'd bake a horehound pie? That had some notion. Making Lily forget wouldn't be too hard.. if Jason left soon.

"Thanks Ada, now you have me worrying.." She muttered as she glanced at the roof, speaking too low for Ada to hear, but heard a response anyway.

"Well you should be worrying! She won't be goin' off with some near-do-well to some fantastical city and get her wee heart broke by that rogue!" Ada shouted from the top of the stairs.

That woman had ears in her feet! Ida shook her head and went back to crocheting herself a new shawl.

Besides, who said rogue anymore anyway? Ada was reading the wrong things again, obviously.

Jason

For the next hour, Jason goes through the house reliving old memories, As a child, both of his parents had been very career-minded and up until the age of 14, he had spent his holidays from boarding school at Sleeply Willow with his grandma. In fact, in a lot of ways, she had been more of a mother to him than his real mother has ever been and the two of them had a really good time each time he had been down there.

Standing by an old dresser in the living room, he stares at the picture of him and her taken on his last visit as he remembers overhearing his mother on the phone to his grandma, telling her that he wouldn't be down as he was going to spend time with father at his law firm. Even at the time, he had known that she had been very upset but he had been so excited about being able to spend time with his father that it was easily overlooked.

But that was a lifetime ago! He thinks to himself as he puts the picture down. At 33, he himself is working at a similar law firm and, after he and Felicity get married, he will be joining her father's company (one of the largest oil companies in the US) as a senior corporate lawyer and director.

Looking at his watch, he realises that the day is going and that he had better get down to the local store if he wants food for this evening...

Lily

She peered over her shoulder at the house, checking the windows and doorways before she slowly made her way towards the street and front yard. Betsy's grandson was still inside, she'd checked the sleek sports car for him before she cautiously walked.

Would he welcome her? She admitted to herself that she was behaving extremely wanton with approaching him, but she had to know, some how confirm he'd be in the house at least for a little while.

She threw up silent prayers to both the Catholic god and her aunt's goddess, praying for time to earn him.

She stopped short of the sidewalk, her eyes securely on the door. She knew any second he'd be walking out that door, some how sensed it. But was it to leave permanently or would he be back?

He courage almost failed her to the point of flight when the door creaked open. She didn't think he actually noticed her until he was down the four cement steps, keys in hand and a serious look on his face.

It was now or never.. He'd think her odd if she turned tail and ran for her home! But damn, she was torn between wanting to wrap herself around him or flee to safety.

"H-hi there." She offered up a rather sweet innocent.. meek smile.
"You must be our new neighbor?" She took a step towards him as he took two towards her.. well really his car, but her offered hand in greeting stopped him.
"My aunt's live next door... I'm Lily." She felt self conscious for a long moment as her hand stuck out in mid-air, waiting. But he didn't hesitate more than a second before his warm hand enclosed around her own.

Jesus! What a sensation! She almost gasped aloud as the warming sensations spread from her fingertips inward.. If her knees hadn't been locked she might have sagged in lust!

Jason

"H-hi there." A small voice stammers out to him, causing him to look up as he approaches the front gate.

Standing on the pavement before him is a small waif for a girl who didn't look anymore than 15-16.

"You must be our new neighbor?" She says to him as he steps onto the pavement. "My aunt's live next door... I'm Lily."

Jason stops as he sees that she is offering out her hand like some small schoolgirl. With a smile, he accepts it.

"Hi. I am Jason. Hey? You okay?" He asks her as he sees her face redden.

"Er...yes. Hi." The girl replies as she pulls her hand away, joining her other one behind her back.

He smiles at her and remembers what she said about her living next door.

"Next door? You mean the Booth Sisters' place?" He remembers how he used to raid their apple trees. "You are their niece?"

"Y-yes."

He smiles at her again, realising that she has a rather pretty face in an innocent sort of way and he wonders how she could be living with those two old spinsters.

"How are the two old dears?" He asks...

Lily

She felt the heat and trembling all the way from her fingertips to her toes, her body practically hummed for him. And so she flushed bright red the second she realized he was watching her face. To hide her odd behavior from him, she quickly hid her hands behind her.

She could have kicked herself for wearing such a shapeless shirt and the old baggy jeans she had on. She looked like a street urchin, not a good first impression. The hardest part for her was speaking to him once she got the introduction out of the way. For some reason a cat had gotten her tongue, because she sure as heck couldn’t use it!

"How are the two old dears?" His eyes twinkled with something, and he did seem to be in a hurry to leave, but here he was humoring her. She flushed a little more and stammered a quick response. “Feisty as ever.” She flashed a dimpled smile and glanced over his shoulder to the house, her smile fading.

“I am very sorry about your grandmother. She was a dear lady. I will miss her.” She felt the sad twinges coming again and did her best to stop that. Betsey had told her not to mourn for her, she’d been here as long as she wanted to be and she was moving on to newer things. Still, it did not help to see the empty house day in and day out.

“You and I have never met, I only arrived here about ten years ago.. but your grandma used to tell me of your exploits around here.” She gave a timid smile. “I hope you intend to stay awhile? The house is lonely.” He gave her a strange look for her comment but she was too busy turning away from him to peer at her own house. Aunt Ada was watching her and Jason, she could almost feel the eyes boring into her back.

“I …. Never mind. Well it was nice to meet you Jason.” She turned back to him, flashing a friendly smile before she turned and headed back towards the gardens once more. Her little sing-song voice called out before he could so much as move or respond, “Your garden needs tending as well. Blessed be, Jason!” And with that she was out of sight.

She felt like a total idiot, carrying the whole conversation the way she had. Not letting him get a word in edgewise! She sat down on the ground rather hard, thumping against a spade. With a muted curse she rubbed the offended area of her bottom and sat sulking. Aunt Ada had did that! She just knew the old Bat was responsible! She glared at the rich soil before her but thought of putting a sleeping drought into Aunt Ada’s tea next time the old crudge-mugeon decided to interfere in her life!

“I made a complete ass of myself!” She began to dig into the ground with a vengeance, wishing for once she had some grace!

Jason

Blessed be???

Shaking his head, Jason goes and gets into his car. Fifteen minutes, he finds himself inside a general store which he swears hasn't changed since he was last there. There, he fills his basket up with steak, bacon, eggs, beans and an assortment of goods which his fiance would never approve of.

But while the cat's away...

Buying a bottle of Jacob's Creek white wine, he drives back to the house and is soon frying up a delicious meal with a glass in his hand.

Once he had eaten and washed up, he goes into the lounge where he sets to work on his laptop. Although, his grandmother only has a phone line, he can use it to access his files on his company's website which he does...

Lily

She just couldn't sleep all night, some sort of agitation kept her moving, so she cleaned a little. With Demon following along, she worked in silence around the upper floor, being careful not to wake her dear Aunts and their rest.

It wasn't until she spied the dark figure poking around next door through a window that she stopped.

"Now what are they up to?!" Her nose itched, and that meant trouble. She knew they'd tried something earlier with tea, her nose itching them too, and so she had passed on tea with Aunt Ada. She knew they were doing something, but this was the first time she'd ever experienced them trying to give her something.

"I am not going to tolerate this Demon." She bent and hefted the cat, slipping to the side of the window to watch the figure of one of her aunts moving about outside Jason's new residence.

"Any bets they are trying to cast something? And on a moonless night no less? And they wonder why things go wrong, don't they Demon?" The cat purred louder in response, brushing it's head under her chin.

Idly her fingers scratched the soft fur, making notes of every place the Aunt lingered. "She's planting something. Maybe a wee bit of.. No, she's reaching into a bag, must be pouches of herbs.. hmmm..." Walking backwards, she melted into the shadows again and waited until she heard the back kitchen door open and close, "Only someone deaf wouldn't hear that huh?" She grinned at the cat, brushed her nose against his cooler nose and set him down again.

Moving with more stealth than Aunt Ada had, she snuck back outside and retraced her Aunt's steps. She walked carefully, knowing the wooden porch would creak and give away her position, but she had to find what Ada had been up to. Make sure it wasn't something that would cause harm..

The first little sachet she came to, hidden behind a flower pot was full of a sweet scented jasmine along with a few other things. This one was harmless, meant to keep away spirits, good or bad ones, but the second sachet held a powder mix used to forget things. It hung over the back door and the front door as well. On a window sill of an empty bedroom was a forget-me-not, Ada wanted him to think of something... But what? Home?

She removed them all within ten minutes and hoped she had found everything she needed to. Grabbing her small spade out of the shed, she quickly buried the sachets behind the old oak tree.

"I need to work on my skills..." Idle thoughts, but she sensed what Ada was up to. Ada wanted Jason to leave. She would just have to ask her Aunt the reason behind this interference another time...

With a quick look at the shed roof and the near by wall of Betsey's house, she smiled a little. Wondering what her new neighbor would think when woke up before dawn? It was five in the morning, she'd give it another hour then patch the shed roof. Until then she could always go mix up a little love potion.

She winced a little with the thought, the last time she tried one, she gave the poor guy the hiccups for two weeks straight! But that was three years ago, surely she could mix it up right by now.

*~*~*~*~*~

BANG BANG BANG!

"DAMN IT!" She cursed, shaking her offended thumb before sticking it into her mouth. She suckled on it a second, glaring at the now bent over nail.

She was just too distracted! She should be paying attention to what she is doing, not thinking about the little potion in her pocket. Stretching, she adjusted her overall straps and pulled down the tshirt beneath.

Bending forward she set another nail next to the bent one and stared hard in concentration. This time she wouldn't miss!

BANG! Some where to her right nails scattered on the tin roof bounced, slid and a few hit the ground below.

BANG! She hit it three more times and once more extra hard for good measure with a smile. That one went in straight! Putting to more nails into her mouth, she slid a little sideways along the roof and pressing down on the newly cut piece of tin.

This aught to patch that hole Aunt Ida was pestering me about... Her thoughts were interrupted when a window was shoved up and a head poked out.
"Uh oh.." She hid her smile as best she could, paid no more attention to the head poking through, acting as if she hadn't seen Jason at all.

Lining up, she began to bang on the next nail in line..

Jason

"What the hell!" Jason grumbled to himself as he sat up in bed. "Who would be hammering this time of morning?"

Checking the clock, he saw it was only 6.30.

Getting out of bed, he went over to the window and pushed it up out of the way. Peering outside, he soon saw who was making the racket. It was the Lily kid from next door and it looked like she was was fixing the roof of her shed.

"EXCUSE ME!" He shouted across.

The girl carried on.

"EXCUSE ME!!!" He shouted again, louder.

This time, the girl stopped and looked up at him... and her eyes went wide as her mouth fell open.

For a moment, he wondered what she was staring at. Then he realised - he was naked and she could see him!

Even as the colour started to drain from his body at the realisation he was flashing his next door neighbour, there was a shriek from behind her and he found himself looking at a furious aunt...

Lily

"EXCUSE ME!" The hammer stopped mid-swing as her head swung to the yelling voice. Before she could reply politely, her eyes widened in a bit of a shock.

Slowly she let her gaze travel over his revealed body, a slight smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.
"Very nice.." She spoke too softly to be heard, inside her head were all sorts of ideas she hadn't had before.

"Lily?" Aunt Ada chose that moment to come out the back door, apparently bent on complaint when Ada saw Jason in all his 'glory'. Aunt Ada let out an outraged bellow and promptly went storming towards Lily.

"YOU COVER YOUR EYES MISSY!" She huffed. "AND YOU!" She turned her eyes on Jason, "I will deal with you later!"

Lily couldn't help but giggle as she scooted her tight little butt over the side of the shed and shimmied down to the ground.
"You're going to catch a cold, Jason."

"STOP LOOKING LILY!" Ada grabbed Lily by the arm and frog-marched her back towards the house.

"Let's have lunch sometime! I'd really like to help with restoration of you're.. OW! Hey! Aunt Ada! What did you do that for!?" Lily rubbed her arm where Aunt Ada had pinched her smartly. Aunt Ada's response to Lily was muttered and so neither really heard the older woman's cursing.

Lily did hear the window slam shut and promptly bug her feet into the ground to halt her aunt's pushiness. "Aunt Ada! Stop this minute!" Huffing herself, Lily yanked her arm free of her Aunt.
"I have work to do and I am not child!"
"You! HE!..." Ada's face was red.
"Nothing is going on, nor will there be anything going on.. until I can convince him we're made for each other.. but until that time you just leave him be." Lily's stubborn little chin lifted in the air as Aunt Ada sputtered.
"You will have nothing to do with that .. city boy!"

Lily ignored her Aunt, marched right around the old battle axe, entering the warm sweet scented kitchen and pouring a 'peace offering' for Jason.

"I am going to take this coffee next door and apologize to that man for our rude behavior.. "
"Lily.."
"And then I am going to go back to working on the shed but I want you to stop nosing around in my business!"
"Lily!" Aunt Ada was still a little stunned at her nude show she got this early in the morning.
"And don't "lily!" me. That was not nice, of either of us.."
"Don't you be tryin' to make that one stay young lady.. he's no good for you!"

Lily was practically steaming around the collar, so mad she could .. well do something violent anyway! How dare they tell her who she can and can not date? She moved around her dear Aunt once more, carrying the cup with her as she stomped her way across her lawn to Jason's front porch. Checking to make sure no one could see her, she poured her little 'love potion' into the cup for him, hid the bottle and knocked on the door.

Jason

He had just finished dressing, his mind still flashing back when he had 'exposed' himself to not only the girl but her aunt too.

"What a great day to start the day." He said to himself as he heard first what sounded like some tapping followed by the front door bell.

"Coming!" He shouted, wondering if one of those aunts have now come round to complain.

On opening the door, there was a bright flash and he found himself looking at the girl's aunt that he had 'exposed' himself at.

"Care to tell me what that behaviour was about, young man?" The woman asked as she barged into the hall.

"I'm sorry?" He answered, very bewildered. He could have sworn he saw the girl standing at the door when he had first answered it.

"Well you should be, young man. That type of behaviour will not be tolerated here."

"Er.."

"Anyway, good day and please stay away from my niece. She is waaayy far to young for you." She said, cutting him off before marching out of the front door leaving him just standing there, shaking his head...

Lily

The next afternoon she sat in the giant swing, staring off into nothing as she tried to figure out what was going on. Aunt Ada has purposely interfered and then would not discuss it with her. Her two aunts seemed to have something up their sleeves and weren't going to back down.

What did Aunt Ada hate about Jason anyway? And Aunt Ida had tried to smooth things over yesterday but ended up being ignored as Aunt Ada and herself had a screaming match. She had never yelled at her aunts before, it was disrespectful!

With a groan of distress, she ran her hands over her face before once more clutching the old rope. Jason hadn't looked at her since, nor said two words. They really needed to leave that man alone! He wasn't here for two whole days before Aunt Ada was trying to find a 'cast out' spell!

"The sooner that boy leaves the better off this town will be." Aunt Ada's words were harsh, and Lily had been tempted to tell her dear aunt to stop being so 'dried up'.

So much for her idea the aunts would like him merely because he was pretty to look at. Aunt Ada wouldn't even tell her what she'd said to Jason the day before, but she did not deny interfering with Lily's plans.

"A love potion is the worst way to get a man dear.. If it is not meant to be, they will not love you.. but hate you with a blind passion.. a passion I've seen kill before.." Aunt Ada's grim warning hadn't meant anything to Lily.. She knew he was the one for her! Why wouldn't they listen? Aunt Ida had mirrored her words to match those of Ada, she too having seen what a love spell can do.. Warning that it can't make a real love out of nothing, but build on the feelings already there.

So what good was spells if she couldn't use them? IT was beginning to be a bit unfair in her corner. They were already stacked against her and already trying to convince Jason to move away. Hopefully that would stop, her ultimatum last night had been her first real affirmative action.

If they didn't stop trying to mess it up for her, she would leave.

'Let them choke on that for awhile..." She was a sour puss today, knowing she upset and hurt her aunts with her words, but they never stopped to consider her gifts! They were a bit rusty, but she was young. And if she didn't use her gifts how would she get any better at it?

Well she knew the truth, and she always believed some things were worth fighting for.. Honor, respect and most importantly true love... now she had to convince Jason. She just had to be sneakier about it.. And that thought made her smile.

She could be sneaky... She just had to figure out where the best place to get Jason alone would be?

Jason

After his encounter with the girl's aunt, Jason had a shower and then went out to see Old Man Jacob's who ran the local estate agents.

"Jason McFly? Betsy's grandson?" Said Jacob after Jason had introduced himself. "My God it only seemed like yesterday that you were running around in short pants."

Jason smiled and tried to press on.

"Well, yes. Anyway it's about my grandmother's house. I'm planning to sell it."

"Sell it???" The old man said in surprise.

"Yes. Is that a problem?" Jason asked, suddenly suspicious.

"What? Oh no. I am just surprised is all. I had thought that perhaps you would come and live there."

"Maybe in other circumstances." Replied Jason. "However, my life and career are all in the city." He added, almost regrettably.

"That is a pity." The old man sighed. "That old house has been in your family for generations. It will be a shame to sell it to strangers."

This time, Jason merely shrugged.

"Anyway, Mr Jacobs. I would appreciate it if you could give me an estimate of its value."

"Of course, son." Jacobs opened a large leather-bound book that he had on his desk. "Let me see now. I can come and see it tomorrow morning at 10 to give it a valuation. It's a lovely property. I'm sure I can sell it for a good sum relatively quickly."

"Thank you, Mr Jacobs. I would appreciate that." And shaking hands, Jason took his leave.

Once outside and with nothing else to do, Jason decided to explore the town...

Lily

As she walked along Main street, she waved now and then in greetings. She loved her home town, the scents and the sounds. The people made it homey, made you want to stay. The worse crime here was an occassional arguement between the old folks on bingo night.

The streets were clean and tidy, children played both in their yards, at their friends and safely in the streets. Most walked where they needed to be, cars weren't a high priority here, but picnics and sunday's were.

A smile lit across her face as she inhaled the sweet scents of home. A little pine mixed with lilac bush and Mrs. Bowler's roses. Great oaks stood strong and tall, scattered with weeping willows here and there, and white picket fences. Three main roads were about all this town held. A few farms dotted the outskirts of the town, but everyone else lived or worked along these three main throughways.

Heaven on earth.

"Good mornin' Miss Lily." Cooter tipped his straw hat as he sat before the barbershop, watching people come and go as usual. He had no use for a barber since he was completely bald, but it did not stop him from sitting with his friends day in and day out.

"Good morning, Cooter." She paused next door and opened the door to her little slice of heaven in Sleepy Willow. "Joe coming this morning?"

"Yeap. Checkers waits for no man.."

"Don't you two ever tire of trying to cheat the other one?"

"It's not cheating to undermind one's opponet and claim victory.. it is war Miss Lily..." He gave a little chuckle and dismissed her with a wave of his hand.

Looking up at her newly painted sign, she felt a sense of pride in herself. She owned Sleepy Willow Hardware, a steady income and a reason to stay home. Pushing her way through the big glass door she greeted Amy, a cashier and made her way back to the backrooms. She needed to stock the shelves and see to ordering some paint for Aunt Ada's shed.

She had to stop herself from trying to find Jason this morning on her way to work, but the compulsion had been there. Maybe she'd find him and sweet talk him into lunch? That put a smile on her face as she lifted a box of electrical parts. "The diner's order came in Amy, I am going to run it over real quick like.."

"Alright boss lady." Amy gave a mock salute but kept her nose buried in the new astrological forcast for the year.

"Amy, I can help you with that.. I've told you before.."

"Yeah.. Better go before the crowds start coming in. Billy called in sick.."

Saying nothing, but wanting to know why Amy wouldn't allow her to help, bothered her a little. It hurt her feelings, but she understood that modern people did not believe in wicca or sharing secrets.

Lifting the box, she carefully made her way to the door, pushing it open with her bottom and barely managing to get the box through the opening. Once free of the doorway, she tried to spy around the box to see where she was going. Cooter obviously wasn't going to offer help today, not that a man his age could do so anyway.. but damn it! It really sucked at times to be short and tiny.

With both arms around the box, she carefully began her journey across the sidewalk, between two cars and heading for the street.

Arnold Becker

He had been waiting for Lily ever since she had entered the store. He must admit, he had to admire how the girl managed to cope running a business, especially considering how young she was. But despite her accomplishments, it was clear that what she needed in her life is a man to rely on.

Becker ran a hand through his greasy jet black hair.

He was determined to be that man. It made sense really. He had the age, the experience and the money as well as her aunts' backing. She had her youth and passion. His eyes hazed slightly as he thought what sort of passion Lily was capable of.

At that moment, he saw Lily come out, carrying a large box. Straightening his black leather tie, Becker strode over to her.

"Good morning, Miss Lily." He said bowing slightly as he stepped in front of her, forcing the girl to stop abruptly.

"Oh. Good morning to you, Mr Becker." Lily said politely.

"Arnold." He said to her. Once again, the girl ignored his invitation to address him by his first name.

"I am terrible sorry, Mr Becker. But as you can see I do have my hands full."

"Then I won't keep you. I just came for your rent of the store." He said to her, not moving out of her way.

"Oh the money is back at the store. Can you wait until I have delivered this box?" The girl asked.

"No rush." Becker smiled. "In fact, why not give to me this evening when I come over for dinner?"

He could see the shock on her face.

"Dinner? Tonight?"

"Yeah. Your lovely aunts invited me over." His grin grew, threatening to swamp his whole face. "Didn't they tell you?" He knew full well that they had not....

Jason McFly

Jason was walking up the street, ice-cream in his hand. He had quickly come to the conclusion that despite his sketchy memory, the town hadn't really changed since he was a kid.

"Old Keene still makes the best ice-cream." He smiled to himself as he took another lick, invoking more happy memories at the lengths he would go through as a child to get free ice-cream from Keene who, if he remembered correctly, was old even then.

"That was fun." He grinned to himself as he noticed Lily coming out of a hardware store, struggling with some box. His thoughts quickly evaporating as he started towards her, planning to offer the girl a hand.

He stopped when he saw a middle-aged man with greasy black hair stop in front of her. When he saw the two of them start having a conversation, he decided to do something else instead, turning around and heading off in the opposite direction...

Lily

"Afraid not Mr. Becker..." She was certain her lovely dear sweet aunt Ada had caused this problem, "I will have one of the girls run it over to your office Mr. Becker." She fiened a smile while struggling to hold the box's weight. "I am afraid I already made plans.. but I must run.." She hurried along quickly as she moved passed him, "I have a customer waiting! byyyye!" She called out as she walked as quickly as she could away.

She spotted Jason not more than twenty feet away, "Jason! Wait up!" cursing under her breath about Mr. Becker, she wished people would let her make up her own mind!

"Meddlesome... creatin!" She muttered softly.

Noticing Jason had stopped, she hurried over with a bright smile. "Hi there.."

Jason seemed to flush a little, looking warily around the area.. Was he looking for an escape or her wicked aunts?

"Sorry about my aunt.. she's a little... flighty.."

He once more focused on her and the bulky box she held. "Look, I was meaning to tell you.. Betsey wasn't the best at things.. well.. physical things.. I noticed the roof needed repaired and the porch needs to be painted and sealed again.. I always gave Betsey a discount at my store and did the work... Just incase you wanted to repair it before moving in?" She smile and bent over, setting the box down between them. "Damn, that's heavy.. where was I?" Her train of thought went haywire the second he turned those blue eyes on her.. Suddenly she was sweaty, nervous and tingly all over.. God, what I wouldn't give right now just to be able to kiss him right here. right now! inwardly she groaned, wishing he was already hers so she could!

Jason McFly

"Jason! Wait up!"

Hearing his voice, he turned and saw Lily tearing up the road behind, despite carrying the heavy package.

For a brief moment, he glanced around him, expecting one of her aunts to turn up.

"Sorry about my aunt.. she's a little... flighty."

Seeing no aunt, he turned his attention back to the girl.

"Look, I was meaning to tell you.. Betsey wasn't the best at things.. well.. physical things.. I noticed the roof needed repaired and the porch needs to be painted and sealed again.. I always gave Betsey a discount at my store and did the work... Just incase you wanted to repair it before moving in?"

Lily put the box down and Jason berated himself for not offering to take it from her.

"Damn, that's heavy.. where was I?"

"You were just telling me how kind you were to my grandma. I'm sure she appreciated it. I know I do." At that moment, he felt himself feeling awkward and not knowing precisely why.

"Anyway, I...oh! Oh!" He broke off.

"What?" Lily asked, before turning to look in the same direction as Jason was doing. Down the street, the middle-aged man. With him, one of her aunts.

"Oh there you are." The aunt said.

Jason decided to quietly take his leave...

Lily

Aunt Ada waddled over with Mr. Becker in tow behind her, "What has been keeping you dear?"

Lily glared at her aunt a long silent moment thinking "I wonder?!" but instead smiled faintly and replied, "Just business errands this morning Aunt Ada. Is there something wrong?"

"Your dear aunt just came to confirm her dinner arrangements for this evening with myself and wanted to say hello to you." Mr. Becker offered, his arm proudly linked with her aunts, as if he would come up a few notches in life by escorting the old 'busy-body' around town.

"Ah yes. Well I made other plans Aunt Ada... I wish you would have mentioned this to me this morning before I had run into a few friends..." Lily felt only a small tiny bit remourseful for her lie... only a bit though.

"Friends?" Aunt Ada seemed to liven up and knowing her, about to protest loudly.

"Yes, just a few girls from the store wanted to go out tonight.."

"Girls?"

"Yes, Aunt Ada."

"Surely they can wait, Lily?" Mr. Becker piped in and Aunt Ada almost mirrored him in response as well.

"I haven't been out in awhile Aunt Ada.. " Her head was beginning to pound, her heart was screaming out in rage, wanting just to be left alone for ONE day!

"I see..." Aunt Ada's face scrunched up into a pout, "Perhaps Arnold could escort you..."

Lily cut her off, "It's a girls night out."

"Oh.. I see." Ada's stare was never wavering, perhaps waiting for Lily to cave in and tell the truth, as would happen when Lily was just a girl.. Now however Lily was learning how not to feel guilty for her little 'white lies'.. especially after all the men Aunt Ada paraded around her. "Well, go on then. Have some fun.. Don't be out too late, you know I can't sleep until you're in.." Aunt Ada stood there a few more long moments, waiting.. For what Lily wasn't quite sure, she knew she wouldn't change her mind.

Especially if it kept her out of Mr. Becker's reach!

"Well... Good day to you Aunt Ada... Mr. Becker." She politely kissed her aunt's cheek, picked back up the box and headed to finish her delivery.

"It's Arnold!" He called out in a overly friendly manner behind her. She could hear Aunt Ada protesting loudly about the 'women's movement' and silly things like 'girl's night out' and the sins to be found in 'That BAR' down the street. But for all Aunt Ada's grousing, she was known to have stirred quite a bit up in her day with picketing for women's rights.. Not to mention last halloween.. Aunt Ada was caught spiking the punch at the town hall's annual mask.

"Sinners.. my ass!" Lily chuckled with a sad shake of her head. Preachers, all of them.. Although she did not know where Jason had gotten off to, she knew where to find him later.

Jason

By the end of the day, Jason found himself back at his grandma's house. Having bought a microwave (she never had one), he first installed it and set about cooking his pre-made chicken curry. By the time, he had put the rest of the shopping away, he could hear the microwave pinging.

Pouring the contents of his dinner onto a plate, he carried it on a tray accompanied with a glass of diet coke and sat down. Once finished, he quickly washed up the aftermath and settled down to an evening of dozing in front of the telly; which was kind of nice considering the hectic pace of his life back in the city.

Later on, he was faguely aware of phoning ringing. Sleepily, he reached over and picked up the phone off the small coffee table that stood next to the couch.

"Hello." He answered.

"Hi, smoochkins. It's me." It was Felicity. "Missing me yet?"

"Oh yeah." He replied. He found that he was certainly missing her, and in more ways than one he realised. He heard her sigh.

"Oh I miss you too. God! You don't know how much I am missing you. Especially right now."

He felt his ears (and something else) starting to prick up.

"How much more time is it going to take?" She meant selling the house.

"I'm not sure. A few weeks. Maybe more."

"More than a few weeks??? Oh smoochkins, are you saying that I will have to wait weeks before I see you next? That will be torture."

"I'm sorry." That was all he could say.

"I know. But I do miss you, so much." He could feel himself getting hard at the sound of her voice as he instinctively knew how she was missing him.

"God! I remember how you laid into me the night before you went." Felicity was never very subtle in her wording. "I thought the bed would never last."

He remembered that night. Jeez it has been intense and very good. What he would give to be there right now.

"I wish you were here now." Felicity said as if her thoughts had mirrored his own.

"Me too." He said as he felt the pressure build in his pants.

"What are you wearing?" She said huskily.

He told her.

"I'm just wearing my panties. You know, your favourite ones?"

He groaned into the phone as he knew precisely what panties she was referring to.

"Do you want me to take them off?"

He nodded and then realising that she couldn't see him, said 'Yes'.

"Okay. But you have to take off your clothes first."

For a moment, he looked around him, wondering if anyone could see him but the positioning of the house plus the fact that he had a large cylinder in his pants telling him to do it, he got up and quickly undressed. He then laid back down.

"I am naked on the couch. Are you?"

"Yes." God, he loved her when she talked to him like this, though normally that would have been face to face.

"Are you hard? Big and hard for your baby?"

"Yes."

"How big and hard?"

"Very."

"Oh God! I do want you. My cunt is all wet and hot for you. It is really missing your seed."

He groaned as he took his hard stalk into his free hand, no longer aware of his surroundings...

Lily

It had been a very long day. Groaning aloud, she sat on her balcony in a tiny little top and matching boxers.. not to mention her fuzzy slippers. Nursing many things..

One of her customers had come in ranting about his plumbing all exploding apart after she'd personally helped him get all the supplies, sold him a 'how-to' book and sent him on his way.. Come to find out, he forgot to seal and glue all the piping together.

Was that her fault? No.

Then Mr. Becker.. and her Aunt.. and a lie! She had to tell a lie for cryin' out loud! And so she went, after a grueling day at work, to the bar to watch sports, sip a few beers and try and get down Mel's mysterious meatloaf special..

Why?

Because she did not want to sit at a table and pretend to be nice and like Arnold 'slime-ball' Becker's company.. So she wasted two hours at that smelly cramped bar, being hit on and burped at for two miserable hours..

And just when she thought it was safe to go home... She was wrong! Mr. Becker was still there, having tea with Aunt Ada... and so she was suckered into another hour long discussion of all Mr. Becker's attributes and skills..

Talk about boring.

She was even pushed into escorting him out to his car, which he had to brag about. What got her the most livid is when he tried to grab and kiss her. If she hadn't turned her face at the precise moment, his nasty lips would've been on hers! Luckily for him, he only landed one on her cheek.. Which she scrubbed furiously in the shower just moments ago..

She then had to tollerate another twenty minutes of Aunt Ada's speech on good men and good marriages.. When Aunt Ada herself had never been married? She almost told Aunt Ada to marry Arnold herself, but knew that was not wise.

Scratching her exposed midriff, she tilted back on the two legs of the chair and finished off the last of her fifth beer. A little light headed, she was very tipsy come to think about it.. but it was quiet finally. Her aunt's were asleep.. The crickets were chirping..

And Jason's lights were all on? Glancing down at her wrist for the time, she realized she did not have her watch on, but she knew it was late. Rubbing her hands over her bare arms, she got up to hunt for a lap blanket when she spied Jason coming into the livingroom and laying down on the couch.

A wistful sigh escaped her lips, and guilty for that she glanced around quickly to make sure no one heard her.. especially her aunts!

"If you'd just ..... notice me." She grabbed a blanket resting just inside her patio door and sat back down. She had no intention of spying on him, in fact for awhile she kept her eyes to the stars. Making herself ignore him, besides it was clear and she could see a lot of the constellations in the night sky.

Her eyes were drawn back to the lighted living room against her will.

"Oh my god!" her heart leapt in her throat, her eyes wide with shock. Jason was laying on the couch.. masturbating. "With the curtains open?!" She mumbled to herself, her hand reaching out and circling the bannister as she leaned forward. She couldn't see too clearly what he was watching or if he was alone, but she could see him stroking his cock and his other hand resting near his head.

She knew she shouldn't watch, that she should just go inside right then and there and go to sleep.. She also knew her aunt's would go insane if they seen or heard.. Thank god their rooms were on the other side of the house! She was also aware of her nipples tightening against the thin material of her shirt and the warmth that spread down below.

She was tempted to march down there and lecture him on his lewd behavior, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from the sight he made. Did he know she was there? Unlikely, he avoided her like she had the plague.. He shifted a little and thats when she realized he was on the phone.

He was speaking to someone.. someone else.. and masturbating.. A little stab of jealousy peirced her heart, she had to let go of the railing before she put splinters into her own hand.

Abandoning her chair, she climbed up next to her little wicker table and lit a candle, then carefully she slid herself up onto the ledge, putting her back to the house and her bottom safely on the railing. Her toes wiggled a little as she folded her arms over her knees and rested her chin on them. She stood out like a beackon in the night wearing such pale pale blue night clothes, but she could see all of him from this vantage point.. And if he ever glanced this way, he would see a little of her seated there..

Her body trembled a little as her eyes no longer focused on his hand's movements, but on his face.. He had a faint smile as he talked on the phone. His eyes were closed, but his body was tense all over. Out of the corner of her eye she could see his hand picking up speed, she watched as he spread his legs a little more and began to move slightly with his hand. His whole body was moving, but only slightly.

She knew she was wet just from watching him, she also knew the bennefits of masturbation verses nameless sexual encounters. She had never ventured into sex with someone, but she knew all she could about it... And right now she wanted nothing more than for Jason to be her first.

A moan was torn from her throat, a response to him without even being conscious about it. Her entire body trembled and it was getting very hard to sit still. She kept telling herself and telling herself to go to bed! But her body wasn't listening to her mind.. Inside she was worried about him catching her, knew she should leave him to his privacy..

She was panting hard, her fingernails biting into her own skin of her legs as she heard him cry out. Her eyes darted to his fisted cock to watch him erupt all over his own abdomen. Hot and sweaty, she forgot the cold.. forgot where she was seated and how far a fall it would be if she did fall off.. Instead her eyes darted back to his face, watching the play of emotions over his handsome features...

Then his head turned towards her and his eyes opened.

"Oh shit!" she tensed, sitting perfectly still. Did he see her?!?

It looked as if he was watching her, but she could be wrong.. It was dark outside and light inside.. All he might see is the reflection of his house in the window panes.. She trembled with fear of being caught, with need and hope he would catch her and come outside right then and there.... Poised, she waited, both hoping and fearing for his next move.

Jason

Jason lay back, his heart hammering in his chest. On the other end of the line, he could hear Felicity gasping.

"Was that good for you, darling?" She asked.

"Uh huh!" He sighed. "Only wished you had been here in the flesh."

God! He missed her!

"Me too."

In the background, Jason heard Felicity's door bell.

"Just a moment, smoochie."

Jason listened while Felicity went and answered the door. He was sure he could hear a male voice.

"Sorry, baby. I must go. Catch you later."

"Yeah. See ya." He said into the now dead line.

*******************

He was still thinking about the voice after he had cleaned himself up. Deciding he wanted some fresh air, he walked out onto the porch at the front of the house. There, he stretched long and hard.

It was then he noticed Lily standing outside her aunts' place. For some reason, she appeared uncomfortable.

"Hi." He shouted over.

"Hello." The girl shouted back. She looked like she wanted to run away.

"You okay?" He asked...

Lily

"You okay?" He asked...

Her face was flushed, her heart hammering in her chest. She was scared, excited and a little tipsy.. She was also very horny.

"Uh.. yeah. Fine. I'm fine." She gave a little nervous smile as she tucked herself tighter into a ball. Anything to resist going down there, standing near him.. remembering what she had seen.. Knowing what she wanted..

The want was what was killing her, the needing him so badly her teeth hurt..

"Just had a little.. much to drink tonight at Joe's." Surely he knew who Joe's was? It didn't matter, it was a stupid passing thought any way..

Just don't think of him naked..

It was a little hard to do though.

"How.. Wait.." She hated to yell, even whispering loudly, at this hour. Tossing aside the blanket, she felt the cold air instantly perk up her tiny nipples as she turned, legs first, over the edge of the balcony. It was a little bit of a drop, but she was used to it..

She wouldn't admit why she was used to it, but she was none the less.

She landed easily on her feet without any twinges of pain and walked slowly over to where He stood.. but still, she kept her distance.. A good five feet was far enough.. Wasn't it?

She gave him a little smile, "How was your evening?" Her hands felt weird with nothing in them so she crossed them just under her breasts and tapped some random tune against her side with the tips of her fingers.

He looked over her shoulder, obviously staring for a long moment at her dark house. "It's safe. They are asleep and unable to meddle or make you feel awkward." She chuckled softly, but there was more weariness in her laugh than amusement.

She wanted to know who he was talking to? Was it his girlfriend?
Please don't let him say Fiancée! Her eyes closed only a second, long enough to wish on some distant star.. knowing it wouldn't come true, but hoping.

Maybe if I mix some love potion up.. sprinkle a little dandelion around.. maybe a little .. She stopped her mental musings, her eyes still focused on his face..

Five feet was too close Lily girl!

"I remember the first time I saw you're picture. Betsy was proudly showing it off.. when you got your first car.. You were only five years older than I was, and I remember being so jealous.. It's kind of funny now.." That was even lamer than the last comment, shut up!

"Sorry.." She whispered her eyes looking down at something in the grass.. which was nothing but he was making her hormones go crazy standing this close! "I tend to say whatever is on my mind.. especially after a few beers." She looked for a way to put him at ease, knowing she was failing miserably at it too... She backed up a few steps, intending on saying good night to him. She was more than likely making him as nervous as her aunts did!

Jason

"Well I think I will turn in." She said finally and turned and went inside.

For long seconds, Jason just stood there wondering what had happened just then.

Does she have a crush on me?

He smiled to himself. Although a very pretty girl, he already had a fiance. Besides, she's only a kid.

A long yawn told him that it was time to go to bed...
