That being said, it's always a good thing when you can broaden your horizons and take a leap into a category you haven't done before. (not that I ever will - at least not that category)

I got slammed for a rape that didn't happen...
Actually she ends up raping him....

There's one Troll couple there that reads to the point where there is even a hint of rape and then they vote a one and go off foaming at the mouth. I twisted the story and screwed them up royally....

Laugh and point, the trolls are funny once you get your armor on....

Yes, it took me two years, and the nod to ABSTRUSE is that she picked out early that my stuff borders there anyway. Some of it.

I made one attempt at it last year, but ended up with a truly fucked up romance that nearly got to the point of justifying rape and I had to bury it in salt for a little bit.

This one is a lot shorter, cleaner, and not ambiguous.

Yes, mine is a bit like that. I'm interested in seeing if I managed to put a nice fun twist on something or if I insulted an entire category.

But I figured...I liked it, someone else might. Either way, I can pretty clearly state I did not wuss out on this one.

However, she's reading one of those pirate bodice ripper romance novels while in the tub. One of the PC said that the "rape scene" detracted from the story.

I was thinking - rape scene? What?

And then I realized, oh, yeah - the story where the pirate is ravishing the heroine.

Rape scene. Hokay.

Isn't that weird? I have a HUGE collection of romances. That was one of my main discoveries in trying to write nonconsent.

Every "romance" usually has a bad ass villian, who does the sickest stuff.

And 98.6% of it wouldn't be allowed on Lit.
