Two part explanation on the Walker decision. Nicely done! Well worth watching for anyone who wants a summary. Warning to the homophobes, the video isn't on your side, nor unbias or subtle about it's feeling toward those fighting for Prop. 8.

BUT, it still does explain things very clearly. INCLUDING why the Judge ruled against the "majority" in our "democracy." That is something you should watch if only to get it through your heads that we are not an Athenian Democracy where what the majority wants is always law no matter what.

I find the last section of the two videos especially heartening. 5-4 to strike down Prop 8? Super! Hale and McDonald were both also decided 5-4. What both the Nutcase wing of the Democratic Party and the Neo-Nazi wing of the GOP both find appalling is that the majority of Americans are libertarian (note the lower case 'l') in their viewpoints and that the overall drift of legal decisions in this country reflects this. I say and again I say, there are a whole bunch of things that are none of the governments' damned business. Long Live Judge Kennedy . . . and Judge Walker, too, of course.
