U.S. judge rejects lawsuit seeking to stop Trump border wall

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Tuesday sided with President Donald Trump’s administration and rejected an attempt by the state of California and environmental groups to stop the government from building a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico.

The lawsuit filed in a San Diego federal court alleged that Trump’s proposed wall violates federal environmental standards, as well as constitutional provisions regarding the separation of powers and states’ rights.

The plaintiffs asked U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel to stop the administration from pursuing the barrier until it demonstrates compliance with environmental laws.

The wall, a key item for Trump’s political base of supporters, has become a sticking point in talks to keep alive a federal program that protects from deportation young people who were brought to the United States illegally as children.

Curiel said his decision on Tuesday was not based on whether the underlying decisions to construct the wall “are politically wise or prudent.” Rather, Curiel said the Trump administration had not exceeded its legal authority in pursuing the project.

the punchline to the story is this is the very same judge that Trump had said could not be fair and impartial because of his Mexican heritage is letting Trump build the wall to keep Mexicans out. Because the judge is an actual US citizen who is no more interested then other citizens in having hordes teeming across our border.

All he has to do is tap into all that money being sent back to Mexico by those whom come here not in the search of citizenship or the dream that is the US, but to get all they can, send it home and then return to be replaced by the next wave of illiterate invaders.

The cheapest and least risky way to transport drugs into the United States is to strap them on the back of an illegal being led through the desert of Arizona by a coyote.

You are aware of the other methods simply because of news articles on when they get caught. Which they would rather not be.

The advantage to putting it on the back of an illegal out in the middle of the desert is that one can easily drop that backpack when you see La Migra coming and deny it was yours. Little harder to do when it's found in the spare tire of your car at a checkpoint.

Traditionally the way that all of this is accomplished is the coyotes leave the drugs at a predetermined drop point (pre-GPS they used to like to use US Highway mile markers as waypoints) and have the illegal aliens picked up at a different rendevouz point. Admitedly, my information is merely second-hand from someone in tge Beltran family who's actually done it as opposed to your totally informed sources of news articles and movies.

You only know about the the routing of drugs that you interdict where and when you interdict them. Also, pay attention: "The cheapest and least risky way" does not equal "the vast majority of drugs." Just because the wealthiest and most ruthless of drug traffickers can afford to lose multimillion-dollar shipments and those transporting the drugs doesn't mean that there's not a cheaper and less risky way to ship drugs. The amount that you can ship is admittedly smaller but you're full of shit when you say that a barrier wouldn't reduce that flow.

How exactly would any government agency have any idea how drugs that they didn't catch got here? Traffickers do not use barcoding to identify which drugs came by what method.

Why should I involve myself in the immoral war on drugs? Why do you want to see arrested and deported a bunch of hardworking dreamers that are going to claim they have been nere since they were four when and if caught?
