JUDGE RULES FEMA CAN EVICT @ Boortz.com

Here's a court ruling we can all get behind. A judge has ruled that the federal government can boot the Katrina parasites from your local Holiday Inn, Motel 6 and whatever other hotel they're staying at on the taxpayer's dime. The star of this show is U.S. District Judge Stanwood Duval. Duval rejected the arguments from the ambulance-chasers representing the parasites, saying the government could give them a boot.

Once the poverty pimps and the mainstream media start reporting on this, the universal question will be "what are they supposed to do now?" Well, here today are a few suggestions. How about...oh...I don't know....GETTING A JOB. How about TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF ... for a change. Surely with all of the rebuilding going on in New Orleans, a fairly decent paying job could be had. But you see, the Katrina parasites don't want to work.

To most of the ones left occupying these hotel rooms, they've been living high on the hog since the hurricane hit. In fact, it may have been the best thing that ever happened to them. Talk about a lifestyle upgrade! Going from a dump in the 9th ward to a nice hotel room with cable TV! That's some government housing.

It's nice to know there's at least one solid judge on the U.S. District Court bench that seems to have grown a pair.

Interesting way of reporting this. :)
Tho, to be quite honest, I pretty well agree with it. lol.
Here's my take, as someone who was affected by the hurricane and got the shaft from FEMA:
our assistance from FEMA ended before we were promised it would, but then, we never shacked up in a hotel room. In fact, FEMA refused to cover one of our nights in a hotel during the evacuation, saying the $2000 expediated aid should have covered it (keep in mind here, that ALL of these people in hotels all this time also got the $2000). Basically, what we gathered from the process was that if you moved because your home was destroyed, they shifted you off to the Small Business Admin for a loan, and that was the extent of their help to you.
And another little tidbit- to live in a hotel room all this time, you didn't necessarily have to have been a renter or a homeowner. Ex's brother was mooching off someone at the time of the hurricane, had no assets to lose, etc. He's been in a hotel in Austin since October all at taxpayer expense. I *think* he may have gotten a job to cover his entertainment expenses, etc, but he definitely has made any effort to move. I mean, really, why move if someone's going to put you up in a hotel for months.
Again, the lesson we learned: if you work hard, pay taxes and truly need help, you won't get it. If you're the type of person who sits on your ass and lets everyone take care of you your whole life, FEMA will be happy to help you. At least that was our experience.

And yes, I'm still a little bitter.
