talking with my son today, telling him all about his first word, how he laughed all the time when he was a baby, how he squealed instead of cried as a newborn, how his first word was "money"... and seeing him laugh and enjoy hearing me talking about all his "firsts" was just priceless.

Moments like that change your life.

I had a talk with my mom like that once... She has a journal of everything she was thinking and everything I was doing from birth up until about a year or so old. After that, it got a bit more sporadic... but what a thing to read.
