Name: Brennan

A flash of lightening lit up he darkenned night sky and the angry growl of thunder followed it. The whind was whiping through tall grass beside the road that he travelled upon. He knew it was about to storm..but also knew he was just about hom again. He had left the village of Galantor two summers ago when he was 16, he had left with a group of friends in search of adventure, and also with hopes to see as much of he world as he could. He had acomplished both and now the road was leading him back to his home. As the whind picked up he wrapped his cloak about him and gave a slight smile as he passed the old wooden sign post that marked the edge of the village limits.

-Elizabeth glanced up at the sky, flinching as another bolt of lightning crackled. Hurriedly she picked up the axe and began chopping wood for the fire.- "Blast them, not thinking to have done this earlier" -she mumbled, thinking of her lazy brothers.- She glanced towards the outskirts of the village watching as the storm began to encompass the town. Squinting she wondered if she saw something approaching..-

*Indeed she did see coming this way. Brennan made his way down the road jus as the rain began to fall..here was no drizle..no scattered drops..just a torential downpour. Immediately he pulled the hood of his cloak up but it did little good. A minute or so later he was entering the town. The first buidlings he would have to pass between were the blacksmih's and the taevrn. As he began to pass he heard he sounds of chopping wood..turning his head breifly he could see the girl, buisily whacking away at a log..he didn't remeber seeing her here before. Then again he had been gone for a while. Giving her an unseen smile he decided to stop in at the tavern until this rain stopped*

-she glanced over at him, her white tunic suddenly becoming drenched with the oncoming downpour rendering it nearly see-through,not thining anything of it and giving a curteous smile she continued chopping, watching him from the corner of her eye. With a yell from her father she sighed and gathered up the firewood as the young man went into the tavern. She approached the front door and turned the knob, but it wouldnt turn. Then she saw the faces of her brothers and sighed, she'd been locked out and her father would not stop them from torturing her.- Blast it all! -she shouts, dropping the wood and turning to look for shelter, there was a small tree but that would not suffice, with a huff she instead made for the inn, opening the door, drenched to the bone-

*Brennan was already in the tavern. There werent many in here this night..just himself, a few others and the barkeep. He was siting at a table by the fire, his shor sword resting against the able. His cloak had been taken off and was now hanging by the hearth to dry. Imn front of him on the table there was a mug of either Ale or Brandy and a bowl of stew. As she came in the barkeep looked up ot her* "Ahh..young Elizebeth..how are you this fine evening.."

-wringing out her tunic she gives him a pathetic smile- "You know how Raul and Sam can be" -she says, referring to her brothers- "They found it quite halarious to lock me out in this storm. And god knows father won't do anything about it. Would you mind if i rested here for the night?" -she glanced around at the few others, spotting the young man shed seen outside, suddenly shivering-

*Seeing her shiver the barkeep shook his head* "No I don't mind you saying here he night..." *Then he followed her eyes to where they looked and he smiled some* "That;s just Brennan..he wont bother you any..actualy he just go back"

-she nods to him- Hello, welcome back. A shame you had to return on such a horrible night. -shivering from the air she hugs her arms to herself, still dripping from the rain, she takes a seat by the fire- Where are you returning from?

*Rasing a brow he reached under the table and into his pack, taking out a blanke. Then standing he went over to her and wraped it about her by the shoulders* A loung journey.. *he said quietly* My name is Brennan.

-she smiles, wrapping the blanket around herself- "Thank you.. A long journey eh? I'd love to hear about it. Im afraid i havent seen much but a few small towns in all my life." -she brushes her soaked hair from her eyes- "If you'd like i can bring you some food, or something. The owner here won't mind. You must be hungry, and i can find something finer than stew id imagine.." -she stands, looking at him for an answer..-

*He couldn't help but to smile to her. She didn't even know him yet she was acting like a good friend* No the stew was enough..but what about you? You look more chilled than I was. Can I ge you anything?

-she shakes her head, smiling- "Ive already had supper, i think once i get these wet clothes off and dry myself by the fire some ill be quite fine, but thank you. Now, why dont you sit by the fire and relax, id imagine your tired..." -she pulls him onto a couch with her- "..and this way you can rest and we can both dry off."

Ummmm..okay. *By the loks of it he had no cj=hoice in the matter. He had never met anyone htis fussy..or maybe she was lonely and in need of company..either way he didn' realy mind*

-she smiles at him slightly- So... did you find anything interesting on this long journey of yours? -she stretches slightly, laying the blanket on her lap-

Ohh...lets just say that I may have seen my share...I've seen places I've neevr even dreamed of. Entire kingdoms and realms that lay beneath the ocean's waves...cities that are built in the sky...a sea of fire and ice...*looing to her he gave her a smile and a nod* And I hope to see it all again some day. *He couldn't help but admit to himself that yes..to him she did look like a beuty....He was looing past how the damp and wet clothing clung to her as if it were melded to her skin..he was actualy taking the time to look upon her* And maybe..if I did go again...maybe you would want to come along?
