Journalists who face physical violence or injury either as the result of a targeted attack by a public or private individual or in the course of their work. If a journalist is hit by rubber bullets or bean bag rounds, it will be counted in this category. Journalists affected by tear gas, pepper spray, or other mass riot control agents will be counted if the individual suffers serious injury or appears to have been specifically targeted. Incidents that fall outside these parameters and in which multiple journalists were affected by riot control agents may be counted in the “other” category.

What was the purpose of having a Secret Service agent violently seize a photo-journalist from Time magazine, and pull him to the ground ? The journalist had voluntarily cooperated with restrictions of being inside a barrier. His foot was one step outside of the barrier, in order to photograph a stream of people flowing in front of the press pen. Black Lives Matter protesters were being removed. Students attending the Radford University rally in Virginia, were informed,

"...prior to Trump’s arrival, a recorded message over the loudspeakers told the crowd that Trump supports the First Amendment right to free speech, but this was a private event paid for by Trump, so protesters wouldn’t be tolerated.

“If a protester starts demonstrating in the area around you, please do not touch or harm the protester,” the message said. “Please hold a rally sign over your head and start chanting ‘Trump! Trump! Trump!’ ”

About 20 minutes in, the crowd did as instructed and called out a young man near the front of the room.

The journalist was seized in a choke hold, and violently thrown down to the floor.A police officer cuffed the journalist, assisted by Trump security goons. Arrested, held, and released, just as they did to credited and tethered journalists present at OWS.

If Trump did not want the violence committed against the protesters recorded, or rough and violent arrests of protesters recorded, Trump had enforcers, to keep the journalists restricted and limited.

The first amendment is under assault probably like never before. But the vocal minority is only concerned about their second amendment rights. They think that if criminal and or impeachment indictments are handed down by an American court of law, they should violently revolt. These are the same people who say that the election was valid and we should all just get over it. I wonder if they will physically attack police or American military.

Your country has a history of revolutionary behaviour although in recent decades they've been called riots and terrorism. I have no doubt that when Trump's impeachment happens the Hillbilly preppers and Timothy McVeigh fan club will be out in force creating mayhem.
