Leno is an ass
Conan O'Brien remains one of the funniest men/shows on the air today in my opinion
That would be the Latenight with DL years on NBC.Tathagata said:Letterman, in his day, was brilliant
JammieDodger said:I find all their humour to be basic and obvious; but more importantly simply not funny, not clever. I refuse to believe they are the funniest things on your tv, surely?

Agreed. Late night humor is very topical and as a result, has a short shelf life.Tathagata said:not living in or being native to america
much of the late night humor wouldn't appeal to Brits, or many other countries.
the humor is day by day, much of it written that day in preparation for a 5:30 pm taping.
it is not " refined" and that ' edge" is what many americans love
the immediacy of it
what I was intimating was that O'Brien was the funniest late night show, in my opinion, perhaps I didn't make that clear
