He's in rehab. It makes me sad to see him potentially waste his gift. If I had his ability, I would cherish it. I know he's just an immature kid. I wonder what his Mom and Dad think. I hope someone just sits him down and tells him the truth. He needs to take things more seriously, for his own good. He should be more humble. That "money, money" gesture that he does is despicable. It's like something you would see in a bad movie; like Shooter Mcgavin in "Happy Gilmore". I think he should try to emulate other respected quarterbacks such as Brady, Walsh, Montana, Staubach, Unitas, among others. Perhaps the problem is that he realizes that he does not possess the skill set to be successful in the NFL and he knows he's a fraud. That would be hard to deal with. I really hope it works out Ok for him , though.

that so many athletes

of the SAME AGE

do darn good

shows he isn't IMMATURE....but a nut case

Manziel couldn't emulate Brady, Montana, or Unitas due to the fact that it was a different time in the NFL where the rules were different and those three QB's were all pocket passers. Manziel is more of a running QB where he relies on his legs to get him out of trouble. Staubach was the only running QB.

The quarterback is voluntarily entering treatment as a direct result of his lifestyle away from the field, and he informed people in his circle last week that he wants to "figure out his value system," a source said.

Which says fuck-all.

Is he drinking and drugging?

So much promise for this guy all wasted because he's a thug. That's a sad story that's been told over and over again in the NFL.

Of course he's a thug. Typical mobile quarterback. Now bridgewater, that's a humble all-american quarterback.

What makes him a thug?

He's cocky, he's flashy, he can't stay out of trouble, he throws up obscene gestures that I think may be gang signs. Actions of a thug. There's no place for his antics in football. Clearly he emulates the "boys" from his hood.

wow, but this HIPPO CREEP would scream BLOODY MURDER if a REAL THUG (black) were called that

From his hood? Johnny was living a upper class life before he ever took a snap in the NFL. Thug? Because he likes to party and drink. When you call him a thug you makes the people that I once looked up to look bad. Gronk do the same thing Manziel do, why isn't he consider a "thug" too?

Manziel is late to realize he ain't in Kansas any longer. The defenses in the NFL are not high school or college kids. They are grown men, and the best in the world at what they do. He will adjust to that fact, and play the game the way he has to play it at that level, with a clear head, or he will be out on the street before he knows what happened.

I feel bad for Cleveland fans.

I'm glad he's getting the help he needs. I had thought the Party-hard mentality was simply immaturity, but if he's in rehab it's more serious.

But he ain't tough. And he ain't hard.

All show, no go.

I don't like him and his hippity-hop mentality. The guys you look up to sound like degenerates.
