In my opinion and again i say MY opinion, when this scumbag decided to join a terror group thats main purpose is to rid the middle east of the Israelies and Americans by killing innocent people and putting fear in them he autonatically gave up his right to be a citizen of the US of A. He is a traitor and he deserves what he gets. If he is such a staunch muslim, why the heck did he shave his head and beard to appear in court?

correct me if im wrong, but didnt all detainees have their beards shaved off and their hair cut?

I heard on the radio that he was to be segregated from the prison populace because many of the thugs behind bars are patriots (i.e., he is not being held in gitmo...).

I am not sure if they did or not. I would think not if we are respecting their beliefs.

I think I heard it on the news that they got shaved (sounds a bit ambiguous, eh? ). There are few obvious reasons for that, I believe:
1) medical reasons (head lice, hiding sharp objects in their body hair)
2) uniformity
3) taking away in what they believe in, as the long beard was compulsory for any Afghan male (i.e. a sort of Taliban trademark)

Likewise I don't see any reason to pay for this traitor's housing and feeding for any time into the future. And I agree the suspended sentence is a good option.

Ummm Exscuse me...beards were Taliban rules...There is a story in the Holy Quran about some followers of Mohammed who only wore moustaches...so ACTUALLY at least a moustache is required.I should know.

And there is no rule against getting a haircut..btw


Besides...The prision probaly made him do it.

LeBoutielle had a good column today that talked about drug use in the golden crescent.

He stipulates that it was reported, early on that JBW was on hashhish when picked up and soon after, due to a leg wound was put on a morphine drip and was under its influence when questioned and interviewed.

He will try to use his drugged condition to escape his current predicament.
