1. Patriot Act....voted for it
2. No Child Left Behind....voted for it
3. Invade Iraq....voted for it

There's more...

But, I bet those won't be the votes the Republican operatives will be talking about this summer and fall. :)

I think he's the front-runner because the Dems don't think a real liberal can win...

Most groups put him to the left of Ted Kennedy.

I spoke to a friend about this today. I think his support is a mile wide and an inch deep with democrats. The only thing they are voting for is a guy they think can win. If this Drudge report thing turned out to be true, many might flock like lemmings.

That's no way to pick a president, IMHO.

WAIT! I might have to rethink my vote for tomorrow! :D

Maybe that's because the last real liberal Dem to win was......um, somebody help me out here.

There's another possibility, you know. Maybe he's the front runner because Dems for the most part aren't as liberal as some would wish them to be.

I'm still undecided, myself, but after tomorrow it likely won't make any difference what I decide in the primary anyway. Cheyenne and her fellow Wisconsinians (is that a word?) are gonna steal away the importance of my vote, darn them!

You assume a) that all of those were strict party-line votes and b) that all Republicans were crazy about them as well (well, okay, maybe for #3).

I think the mile-wide and inch-deep voters are what's going to decide this election.

If he's elected President he would be the third richest President ever.

You ought to love the fact that Kerry voted down every missile system or fighter or bomber or military appropriation that Ted Kennedy voted for.

Ted's closer to being a Republican than Kerry is.

REDWAVE too!

I've always heard that phrase in connection with a Southern woman's hospitality...

The Peanut King

Only a conservative would think Carter was a liberal.

For an absolute, no-doubt-about-it, big-social-program liberal, we're talking about LBJ, and he only made it because he inherited the position, and FDR, and it took the extreme conditions of the depression to get him elected. Kennedy might have been, but didn't live long enough for us to see for sure.

But at any rate, it's been a long time, even if you do count Carter.

I just realized sigh, PurpleHaze started this thread with a lie about John Kerry!

He voted to authorize "the threat" of the use of force.

He NEVER voted to invade Iraq...

Nixon was all liberal with his price-controls...

(non-)price and wage controls. Don't forget about the wages bro. A liberal prescription for the economy that was tried by a Republican. And was the dismal failure that anyone with laymens understanding of economics could have predicted. It was a travesty for the working person that was not in a position to figure out the means, or was not in a position to, figure out the way to short circuit the system.

Nixon.

Vietnam.

How focused are we on the past while the future remains untended...

So if Haze is convinces the Dems that Kerry is a republican, and FI convinces the republicans that Kerry is a liberal, who's gonna vote for Kerry?
