A Gainesville church plans to go ahead with the burning of the Muslim holy book on Sept. 11, despite threats of bombings and the lack of a permit.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Terry Jones, pastor at the Dove World Outreach Center will call for Sept. 11 to be an “International Burn a Koran Day.” However, the Gainesville fire department has denied a permit for the event.

One jihadist website vowed to conduct suicide bombings in Florida to avenge the Koran burning, while others predicted an increase in terrorist recruits as a result of such actions.


“By Allah, the wars are heated and you Americans are the ones who…enflamed it,” says one such posting. “By Allah you will be the first to taste its flames.”

Jones said the radical threats confirmed his views of Muslims. “I can understand that they would be offended. I think their reactions–violence, threats, murders terrorist attacks–that only reveals the true nature of Islam which needs to be revealed,” he said.

Why can’t we hold a special rally filled with Islamic human bombers and allow each of them to blow them selves up? in a way, this could be like a 4th of July celebration with all the explosives? Course, non Islamic nut jobs would be watching from a safe distance.

Not a bad idea! It would garner favorable coverage from the sympathetic MSM, which they like and would further their cause.

A trial run would be needed, say about 10,000 volunteers just to make it "an event." Footage of the Koran burning could be shown to "fire them up" (before they fire themselves up).

Could be a serious win-win!

OIC Wants Obama to Step in and Stop Florida Church’s “Burn a Koran Day,” Issues Veiled Threats of Violence…


We have something called freedom of speech, something unheard of in the Islamic world…

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has joined the growing condemnation of plans by a Florida church to burn copies of the Quran on the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

A spokesman for the Jeddah-based bloc of Islamic states expressed concern Tuesday that the planned action by the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville would stir up “anger across the Muslim world and provoke unrest.”

The OIC said it hoped the U.S. government would “take appropriate steps to protect the sacred religious sentiments of Muslims of America and of the Muslims across the world.”

Dove pastor Terry Jones did not respond to queries Tuesday about the planned event or whether his church had come under any pressure from law enforcement agencies to call it off.

The initiative’s Facebook page, “International Burn a Koran Day,” had attracted 6,000 supporters as of early Wednesday.
