(CNN)An Orthodox Jew who stabbed marchers at a Jerusalem gay pride parade 10 years ago launched another knife attack at the same type of parade in the same city Thursday, stabbing and wounding six people who were on the streets for the event, police said.

Of the six people stabbed Thursday, two were injured seriously, Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said.

Police arrested Yishai Shlissel, Samri said.

Israeli police say Shlissel, an Orthodox Jew, was released from prison three weeks ago after serving a 10-year prison sentence for stabbing and wounding three marchers at a Jerusalem gay pride parade in 2005.

JERUSALEM
A Palestinian toddler was burned to death and members of his family were critically wounded on Friday when their home in the West Bank was firebombed by attackers believed to be extremist Jewish settlers, the police and army said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the killing an act of terrorism, and Israeli security forces went on alert as Palestinian protesters clashed with troops in several locations in the West Bank.

Friday’s attackers struck in the early morning hours, hurling gasoline bombs into two homes in the village of Duma southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank. One of the buildings was empty, but a sleeping family in the second home was caught as flames engulfed the house.

Ibrahim Dawabsheh, a neighbor, told the Reuters news agency that he had seen two masked men outside the house after he heard shouts for help and rushed to the scene.

The arsonists scrawled a Jewish star and Hebrew graffiti on the house reading “Revenge!” and “Long live the Messiah king.”

Muslim persecution of Christians isn't that wide spread, the reality of the situation is if you're going to be attacked by a terrorist you are most likely a Muslim. And the attack was most likely done by another Muslim. In that manner it's no different from other crime.

As for changing from Islam every single one of those religions has similar doctrines it's really just a matter of how strictly they actually adhere to their boooks and laws. For that Muslims are either better on the whole than Christians because they follow their book convienent or not. If faith is only for the desperate and when it's easy it's not faith at all. On the other hand it could be where htey are worse. Christians having been forced to cohabitate with atheists and agnostics throughout most of the world have been dragged, kicking and screaming, inch by painful inch into some semblance of modernality. (Though they often mistakenly think they are less dangerous because they use different means to impose their will.)

Sure non-muslims pay jizya but Muslims pay Zakat which isn't required of non-muslims. And recent converts to Islam in some cases have ended up laying twice. Am I naive enough to think the generally equalled out? No. Nobody in the long sad history of ever has treated outsiders as well as they treat their own, it's simply not done. It's worth noting that how Jizya was applied varied so much (and doesn't appear to happen often in modern contexts though it does happen) that there isn't even a set amount.

And everybody knows that Jews and Christians are fellow "Brothers of the Book" and have historically been treated rather well. There is no Islamic law requiring they be mistreated, infact there are several laws requiring them to be treated rather well.

I call bullshit on all religion more or less equally. If I call out Christians more it's because I live in America where 80 of the nation is Christian. My money doesn't say in Allah we trust, the courts don't by default ask me to swear on a Bible, Ramadon isn't a national holiday. In short Islam (and anything crazy with Judaism or any other religion for that matter) has zero effect on me in any tangible way.
