I was over at MySpace and there was a bulletin I read.

It lead me to this.

Son of a fucking bitch! I'm furious!

What are these people so scared of? Sexuality isn't contagious, we all have it. And it's not a fucking disease. So why treat these people like lepers?

I won't go off on a rant. Much as I would like to. But damn, I'm pissed.

Amazing...just amazing. What would Darwin say?

Darwin wold say "Would someone PLEASE advance the science of social Darwinian evolution so we can understand why 30% of humanity is always so fucktardish?"

That being said, I don't understand why any Gay or Lesbian group would align themselves with Christianity. Say what you like about Jesus' "message of love", Homosexuality was considered by him, and all the prophets and priests who came before, and everyone who came after, as an abomination before God. Enjoy the philosophy of Jesus, believe in God -- but to be gay and embrace any Christian church (even the sects that pretend to be inclusive and cherrypick which parts of the Bible to be "gooder than the others") is odd, odd, odd.

Uhm, I'll confess that I'm not as familiar with the Bible as I could be, but I don't ever remember Jesus saying anything against homosexuality. Most of the whacks at homosexuality came from the Old Testament.

That said, our society and understanding of the world has evolved since 1 AD. And 3,000BC. I don't see why we should limit our spiritual beliefs to those of millennia ago.

What I do recall Jesus saying was, "This I say unto you, that you love one another as I have loved you." Don't see any caveats there.

Just for what it's worth.

Six demonstrators arrested at Baylor

Thursday, March 22, 2007
By Emily Ingram
Tribune-Herald staff writer

Police arrested five gay-rights activists and a Baylor University student for writing Bible verses and messages towards the gay community in sidewalk chalk in front of Waco Hall.

Baylor officers arrested Soulforce activists Amanda Harris, a former Baylor student; Vince Cervantes; Shawna O’Neil; Amanda Mathias; Joshua Polycarpe and Baylor student Sean Morrison about 2 p.m. Tuesday, Baylor Department of Public Safety Chief Jim Doak said.

The group stopped at Baylor while on the Soulforce Equality Ride, a tour of 32 mostly-Christian colleges and universities that members of the organization say “actively discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.”

Baylor police arrested the six after plainclothes officers “repeatedly” told the group to stop writing with chalk without a permit and to leave the area, Doak said. The six then were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, a class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and up to a $2,000 fine, Doak said.

Baylor’s department of student activities must approve and issue a permit to any groups wanting to “chalk” on campus, Doak said. Otherwise, the writing is immediately erased.

Tuesday’s arrests were the first time people were arrested at the university for unapproved chalking, Doak said.

Harris, Cervantes, O’Neil, Mathias and Polycarpe were released each on $2,000 bail from the McLennan County Jail on Tuesday afternoon, a jail spokeswoman said. Morrison was released on $1,000 bail.

I find it rather amusing that one of those arrested is named Cervantes. ;)

Actually having read the bible (I know, that's a terrible surprise for most on here), there are few references to homosexuality at all. None that I can find in the New Testiment. The Old Testiment has only one notable reference: "God hates those who lie, steel, committe murder, adulters and men who lie with men." I've often thought it was a good thing it hadn't occured to Moses that women who lie with women could be gay too. :)

"...they did not want the conversation about sexual orientation to be controlled by anyone but themselves."

This speaks volumes for me.
