I always thought she torpedoed her acting career with that asinine singing career. She was wonderful in Selena, U-Turn, and really great in Out of Sight as Karen Sisco.....then that pop horseshit album came out and her movies were drek after that.
Maybe that's a little strong... Her movies were mostly fluff after that, or for children. A fine career, but I thought she could have gone a classier route and been an entertaining dramatic actor.
