I'm all for freedom of religion, and I respect people for having strong convictions and such, but WHY do they bring them to ME and expect me to take my time and listen to something I don't accept or believe in? I have my own set of beliefs and my own religious convictions. I don't need ANYONE to tell me their religion is the best. All I can say is thank heavens for barking dogs and an active 2 year old nephew.

basically...you put your god in my face, I put my door in yours...

I respect your right to believe whatever you want...just don't try to force me to believe the same thing.

I actually like talking to them. I can point out to them how obvious it is that they are wrong, and I am perfectly safe.

Try doing that with any other faiths.

Well, I didn't want to be rude, since my 6 year old daughter and 7 year old nephew were right there with me. I simply said I didn't have time to talk because I was dealing with a 2 year old child. They left quitre quickly. I just feel sorry for the kids who get drug around with their parents for these little trecks around town.

There was an article in the New York Times on Sunday dealing with Jehovah' wintnesses and sexual abuse (a la the Catholic priest abuse situation). Essentially, they excommunicate those members who question how they handle the issue.

eekk.. The abuser stays in and the abused gets kicked out....

Jehova's Witnesses

When I was in undergraduate school in South Texas, my apartment was about three blocks south of the local Jehova's Witness temple. Naturally, my apartment was deemed to be a great training ground for aspiring missionaries. I'm talking almost daily contact.

I returned the favor by depositing my empty beer cans in their front yard. Once they realized I was the culprit, they left me alone.

Cheap beer did have its uses.

I just moved last week and one of my friends who is new to America was walking over to help us out. Well these two guys stopped him and asked if they could talk to him about Jesus. He replied, "I have to go help my friends move."

They replied, "well we can help."

So he comes up to us and says, "I found two guys who want to help us."

We thought it was strange that two random guys did want to help us move but we wernt going to stop them.

We see these two guys in suits walk in and they are JW's.

They helped us move for a little bit then they disapeared, but it was funny when you think about it.

use to have the jehovas knocking on my door pretty regularly
untill i put a give blood sticker in my window, dont tend to see them much now
