Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions is Trump's nominee for attorney general.

From USA Today: Desmond Meade, president of the civil rights group Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, said Sessions has not shown a strong commitment to racial equality or social justice.

I'm not sure what "social justice" means.
And can someone tell me what "alt-right" and "neocon" mean and how they are different?

Al Franken took him apart.

Were they discussing social justice?
And BTW, Nazis were socialists. It's right there in the name.
Hitler said this: "We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions."
Glad I could help.
Are you a socialist?

And North Korea is democratic. After all it says so right in the name.

Now that's a snappy comeback. Is it supposed to mean anything or is this just something you post when all else fails?

He doesn't realize that Nazis were textbook socialist because he's an uneducated degenerate socialist himself.

Alt-right is an extremist view. Neocon is just extremely 'conservative' with a touch of fundie Christian.

John Stuart Mill stated that "Society should treat all equally well who have deserved equally well of it, that is, who have deserved equally well absolutely."

If 'any' person is denied their deserved equality just for being a member of a group that some people view as undeserving of equality that is unjust.

IMO a Just Society is required for social justice to happen.

Sessions is guilty of being a white southern male, and that's enough for liberals to hate.

Well, no, not exactly. Neoconservatism has no fundie element to speak of (most of the earliest prominent neocons were Jewish), and is specifically concerned with an aggressive American foreign policy meant to spread the "End of History" model of democracy and capitalism worldwide.

Too bad nobody ever asked Eric Holder if he'd knowingly send weapons to Mexican drug lords that would later be used to kill an American law enforcement officer.

"Social justice" are those government policies and programs one advocates when regular justice doesn't get them all they think they deserve.

Regular justice only applies to people who have been aggrieved, disadvantaged or victimized under the law. Social justice is not so constrained and, to the extent one can manipulate it, seeks to redress societal 'unfairness' or 'inequality' wherever it can be arguably claimed. Which is to say, almost anywhere and everywhere.

Regular justice is minimalist. Social justice is, oh, so expansive.

To be fair, a white southern male who called the assistant United States Attorney "boy" for seven years and told him "be careful what you say to white folk".

Then we should amend the constitution and take out that stupid statement about all men being created equal.

And give the Statue of Liberty back to the French.

The 14th Amendment spells it out best: "the equal protection of the laws."

You'll recall that was one of the amendments added to the Constitution after Jefferson Beauregard Sessions's side lost the Civil War.

Socialism is an economy based on slave labor, with a constant influx of new slaves as the current ones die of starvation, disease, murder by the state and similar reasons, ruled with an iron fist by a single person?

What if instead we amend it to add, "... but some men are more equal than others"

Wouldn't that be a hoot?

Yea, what did you think it was?

Have you not seen enough socialist utopias go down in total fucking flames yet?

How many hundreds of MILLIONS of people must die in the name of the common good before you realize that?

by a single person?

Not always but the best utopias always are.

Mao....Stalin...Pot...Castro.
