I got into the CD burner yesterday, riffled through a couple or three CDs and this is what I complied. It's been keeping my company at work all day today.

I'll post on the second Jazz Mix CD later on. :)

"Autumn Leaves" - Diana Krall
"Frim Fram Sauce" - Diana Krall
"Birdland" - Maynard Ferguson
"You and Me (and the Bottle Makes Three)" - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
"Boplicity" - Miles Davis Nonette
"Fox Hunt" - Maynard Ferguson
"Jeru" - Miles Davis Nonette
"At the Sound of the Trumpet" - Maynard Ferguson
"C Jam Blues" - Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra
"I'm just a Lucky So and So" - Diana Krall
"Mercy Mercy Mercy" - Buddy Rich Big Band
"Peel Me A Grape" - Diana Krall
"Straight No Chaser" - Buddy Rich Big Band
"Popsicle Toes" - Diana Krall
"Spanish Flea" - Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass

can you make this available online? Are you on Kazaa?

No, I'm not. My brother (the one with the Cable Modem) has Morpheus, though.

I'll see what I can do at the first of the week about setting this up there.

I think it's a pretty fair mix, and has a few tunes that are damned hard to find. I wouldn't have had a couple of the Ferguson tunes if it weren't for a sympathetic friend who burned them for me, since the albums they're on are out of print now. :(

*looks dubious*

I'm not seeing any heavy metal. How on earth can one give a good lapdance without heavy metal?

Thank you JMJ! I've been trying to come up with that Buckshot LaFonque song for a year and a half. Couldnt remember the name, couldnt remember the group. Think I will DL the rest of the songs on your list. You the man!

Heh. This isn't my lapdancing CD. I'm saving that one just for you. ;)

Trust me, this doesn't even scratch the surface of the jazz I have in mp3 form.

Unfortunately I keep most of it on CDs (still in mp3 form) so as not to crowd my already crowded hard drive. I figure that in jazz alone I have three or four CDs absolutely full of jazz.

And another six full of other stuff. Most of it is ripped from my own CD, or downloaded stuff I already had on cassette and just downloaded to have a digital copy.

I'm such a music slut. ;)

The bad news is I only have a dialup modem, so I can't keep it active 24/7.

Jazzy, I'm in the same boat as you ...well almost. I have faster than cable at work ...lol

What I've done for my pals that I want to enlighten is very low tech. I burn the CD and mail it.

I have about 300 music cd's, and most are the blues, jazz, or Latin. I do how ever have some heavy metal also. Sadly I have 150 on my hardrive. I am like you an have the dial up modem, but with my design am looking into getting DSL, so maybe soon I can have them available to others 24/7.:)
