Janus Magazine - when founded?

I think there was more than one publication with that name, but I mean the one that had BSDM content (published in England, correct?)

I'd like to know when it started. I'm writing a scene set in the summer of 1974, and there will be a reference to the magazine - if it actually existed at that date.

I assume that there were other magazines in 1974 that focused on spanking.

Yes, it was founded in 1971, so 1974 would be volume 4, issues 5 and 6 (if you search for those terms, you can see covers of issues for sale).

I don't know what other glossy magazines were available.

They had a shop as well - if you look up Janus Worldwide, you should get more info than you need...

I was a regular visitor to the shop many, many years ago and had collected quite a large pile of issues. All just memories now, but it was what used to happen before the internet.
