Jane Doe.

Hello,
I just wanted to post this message. Hoping that maybe somebody out there in Moderator land will read it.

Lately I have noticed that with all the immersive stories, the first and last name fields, if left blank will appear as JANE DOE. Now having a male character named Jane, just isn't right. In fact I have been discouraged from reading further because the name Jane does not suit a male person.

In the past the site used the name PAT SMITH. I found this unisex name worked great. As Pat is both a male and female name it didn't throw off a story. If not the name Pat then maybe a different unisex name can be found.

Can anybody maybe help out and list a couple names... as I am at a loss for a unisex name.

Yout still seeing Jane when you enter an immersive story? I am almost always seeing John.

Is there an option that allows people to set their main character to female or male? And there is only one case that I have actually read the John name, rather than the female name. So that's my problem.

Does anybody know of any settings? as I can not find it.

I just tried it again, and I got Jane Doe in both stories... stupid bitch won't go away! lol. I thought she was dead anyway?

Hey,
actually I have never had any problems for picking a male or female name. Just sometimes I'll skip to a thread map, and choose a thread. Then it will automatically be Jane Doe. I am just worried because some people don't enter a name. As, there is a story I can think of where the first name is the female and the last name is the Male. If you don't enter a name the Male's name is Doe! HAHAHA! How much would you hate your parents if they named you Doe? Or Jane. lol.

The names I use are Sarah banks and Jack Anderson. My two favourite and sexy characters!

When reading such stories I use the names Emily Watkins or Dave Davidson. The latter has a long and illustrious history, as a name me and a freind have used on several occasions when harrassing people in chat rooms.

That's kind of bizarre as I would havr thought that Chyoo has a higher male membership than it does female.

I suppose it defaults to female because "F" comes before "M" in alphabetical order...

Of course, in real life, "M" usually comes before "F", but that's another story.
