Jan. 6 committee fail — Biden loses to Trump in potential rematch

For the first time in this Yahoo/YouGov poll, Donald Trump beats Joe Biden in a potential 2024 rematch.

What’s significant about this poll is that it comes from the establishment media. Oh, and it comes at the same time Nancy Pelosi and Liz Cheney’s January 6 kangaroo court is enjoying billions and billions of dollars in free publicity, including broadcasting during primetime on most of the major networks.

If the election were held today, Trump would beat Biden 44/42 percent in a rematch. This is the first time in this poll Trump has jumped into the lead, so good job, Nancy and Liz!

What’s more, as gas and food prices hit one demoralizing record high after another, voters are disgusted by the lack of focus in D.C. on problems that matter. While working people drown in this morass, Joe Biden is policing pronouns, and Pelosi’s Congress is putting on show trials.

The 1/6 committee is 2% of “Pelosi’s Congress,” and they are not putting on any type of trial.
 
Trump's popularity relative to Biden's has nothing to do with the 1/6 Committee.

And anyway, there is always Bernie if “middle of the road” Biden does not work out. 😉 i didn’t vote for Bernie, do not like him, but i am telling y’all that people are getting mighty worn out with the “my way or the highway authoritarian justify however you can far right that identifies moderates as extremists.” Just saying. I know a whole lot of Dems who were talked out of that route in 2020 for the good of the country as a whole and the desire to find something everyone could live with. They will not be talked out of it again, and a lot of moderates will go along with them if it comes to that. 1/6 and the SCOTUS RULINGS pretty much guarantee it.

I am not arguing. I am just giving y’all a heads up.
 
Bernie Sanders is done as a presidential candidate. You can stick a fork in him on that. He's older than Biden and has shown that he can't create a majority in a party he doesn't belong to. There are lots of newer generation Democrats out there who don't have the age or baggage his has--or the age Biden has. The progressive in the party should have gotten the clue that they can't get anywhere by going whole hog. They are facing the need now just to get back to where we were before 2016. Their job now is to elect Democrats up and down the line and that's going to require being more reasonable about those closer to the center.

What will Trump do? He can win in a landslide and he still won’t be president.
 
I still think Trump won't run again. He's already got what he wants most - the adulation of his followers - and if he doesn't run again, he'll only have to throw his rallies when he really wants to.
