The movie producers are looking ahead to find someone to take the place of Pierce Brosnan as 007. It seems his contract will end soon and they want to have somebody in place. They have hinted at Matt LeBlanc which I think is a stupid choice. But what do you think? Who would be your choice(s) for the next 007? While we are at it, who would be your choice(s) for the next Bond girl?

I cannot believe anyone even thought Bond and LeBlanc in the same thought. I love Brendan Fraser he is a doll but just not James Bond, I could see him being a great Indiana Jones JR.

I cannot think of anyone right now that would make a good Bond but I agree with Todd, Jeri Ryan would be a great Bond girl.

I bet they get an unknown, for both roles. It works best for the actors and everyone involved. Many actors have turned it down already because there is such a rabid diehard following.

But for kicks...
How about Dixon? Can't you picture a Bond with such a keen sense of humour? With either, or both, the Countess and Kitten for the Bond Girls. As for Dr. no? Mmmmm. boy, quite a few choices there.

I read somewhere that they asked Catherine Zeta Jones to be the next Bond-girl, but she refused to be a sidekick...the only way she'd do it was if she could play the Bond role herself.

Female: Gillian Anderson, or maybe Mac from JAG (Catherine Bell?)

Male: Jerry Seinfeld! Now THAT would be a change of pace Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Maybe it's me, but I'm still thinking Sean Connery. (Who's Scottish, I know, I know. But you just can't beat him.)

I personally thought that Pierce Brosnan's fucking up the role was more due to the stupid special effects (bungee jumping to the base of a dam? Oh please, auzzie rappel, it's not only more professional looking, it's controlled.) and a totally emasculated script. Even the great Connery would have had troubles with it. Whats her fuck kept getting the better of him, putting him in his place in the bungee jumping flick. We went home and burned the tickets in a a ritual designed to appease the rolling over in his grave Ian Fleming (is he even dead?).

Sorry boys, Bond needs to just die off until someone with balls can get ahold of the script, the director's seat, and the producer's thingybobber.

Personally I think Eddie Izzard should be James Bond. Then we could have Bond looking good in both a tux AND an evening gown...and he's be witty to boot.

What do you have against Angelina Jolie.. she is very sexy... I am waiting very anxiously to see her in Tomb Raider.. She would make a good Bond girl... for the next James Bond, I would have to say Ben Affleck, if he had an English accent... he has that Bond aura, but he's American... maybe he could play James' American cousin..

Angelina Jolie would be the HOTTEST James (Jamie?) Bond ever, with Keanu Reeves as the quintessential Bond Girl (impish grin).

Keanu could never handle the Bond role...his acting ability is stretched playing himself.

Barring that, I nominate Christian Bale; British, sexy, and wittily smart. Ewan McGregor would be ok too, for that Scottish retro thang. Too bad he sold out.

Heather Graham (a/k/a Rollergirl in Boogie Nights, Felicity Shagwell in "Austin") played Austin's love interest in "Spy Who Shagged Me". She's ok, but a bit blank screen for my taste.
