Hey! am i the only Jamaican on this site? That would be horrible, no one to meet. :) Anyone wanna know what Jamaica is like or have any questions, let me know.

Jamaica

Hi to you, man! Is Jamaica like you see in the movies and on TV - all sea, sun, sand and sex?
How long did you live in Jamaica?

Well, its all u see and more. im a jamaican, ilve lived here all my life man.
what u see though is the good part, we have a lot of crime and violence too.
as a matter of fact, we have more crime per sqare mile than anywhere else in the world. but i would never give it up for anywhere else man..
i love it here, we never have snow.

No Snow?

Man, that sounds like paradise - what are the women like? As sexy as you see on TV?

:p

I was just there in Ocho Rios a few months ago on my honeymoon..........we loved it...it was awesome.......we did not really travel out of Pcjo Rios but we did take the resort shuttle from Montego Bay which was about a 2hour drive through the country along the coast. We met quite a few people and all were nice. I visited the Fire Station in Ocho Rios as I am a firefighetr and gave them a shirt from my department......firefighters are firefighters no matter where you are...............we are planning a trip back for october........it was awesome

I love that movie

"The Harder They Come" staring Jimmy Cliff

I don't doubt that Jamaicans are sick of hearing that but what can I say? I also like ska but that too is probably elevator music in Jamaica. Care to clear up any misconceptions I have?

Yo......greetings from another Jamaican. Up here in the cold North East. You are right, depsite the bad there is nowhere like Jamaica.

Ska is not so much elevator music as kind of easy listening.

Nic,

as said, ska isnt elevator music. jamaican have taken on a lot of the music of north america. most youth now-a-days will listen to jay-z, 50¢ and most other rap artists, i am a 2pac fan and from his "death" i havent listend to anyone else.

on another not, the women here are fine, they arent the blonde models that ull find in the north, but they are beautiful, hard working and very loving, but dont get on there wrong side.

hey krspy2001, its nice you came here and like it, maybe if you come back here in october, we can link up and have a beer or 2. let me know if youre coming.

to skaout, Ja is like the US but smaller. we have areas like you're vagas with all the night life, we have a new york the business capital, we have florida with the beaches and all that (thats where krspy2001 went to) and we have project areas. the problems is, outside of the beaches, verything else is roled into one.
