Cooper loved the smell of sawdust. There was something about it, something that smelled "You have done Work", that never got old. Looking at the huge clock on the wall, he realized he was hungry, so he started to dust himself off best as he could.
Mrs. Farthway always made sure to comment if the residents saw him dusty, or, god forbid, dirty. She did not mind the actual work clothing that clearly marked him as some sort of maintenance guy, but he sure needed to look clean.

Cooper climbed up the long steep stairway, starting to breath slightly heavily - the elevator was for pussies, he thought, as he did every time he made the almost 2 story climb. Passing through the small, but exquisite lobby of the high-end apartment complex for the elderly, he made his way to the personnel lunchroom.

As he chose his usual menu, he noticed a new woman walk in, curiously looking around as if it was the first time she ever was in there. She was plain looking, yet with well tailored clothing, and she moved with the smooth gliding walk of someone whom was trained as a dancer.

He sat down in his usual corner as far from the door as possible. Cooper studied the new woman and decided she was actually quite striking. No specific thing was especially memorable, but the overall effect was quite alluring.

Thinking to himself that he must stop it and that he is not ready for another woman, Cooper finished up his delicious meal and went to drop off his plate.

As he passed by the woman, she looked up and Cooper was immediately struck by how her eyes flashed - and she quickly made a half smile and nod. Cooper smiled back, but did not stop and kept walking. With his next breath, he noticed a faint, yet amazing fragrance, that for a second, make his knees weak.

OMG, he thought to himself, if only. If only.

i just loved the fragrance of vanilla, it's so sexy. while i'm eating my food this man walks by me, should i let him know i'm the new tenant. i just buried my mom and have no place to go, just me and my cat. i'm 5'4, all natural body, gray/brown hair, green eyes, an artist, 61. i know most people in the complex are older than me, but i'm just tired of taking care of a yard and want to just hang out on my screened in patio, being lazy. as he walks i wonder if he is single and would like company sometimes, i mean there is just so much a person can do with a cat. done with my food i get up and look around to see where he went. i spot him in the lobby, excuse me sir, i touch your arm. wow i think to myself,,was that static electricity, i feel butterflies. sir, i'm new to the building, my stuff and cat will be coming later on today. what kindof things go on here, are there any activities that i should know about? i'm on the second floor last apartment on the back side of the building facing the mountains. i hope to see you sometime, and i turned to climb the stairs, elevators are for pussies i say and walk up the stairs to my apartment.

I followed her climb up the first flight of stairs and could not help noticing her well defined legs. She was clearly far older than me, but hey, she looked pretty good.
I shook my head and headed back down to my shop, remembering with a smile her words about using the stairs - now THAT was funny.

A few hours and a bookcase later, I climbed back up and saw some movers bringing in boxes for whom I assumed was the new tenant. I figured I might as well help them and grabbed a box from the first guy and got an appreciative look in return.

We went to the second floor apartment - I knew that those apartments were expensive, and I was curious to see the lady again.
