If you wanted to throw a Jack and Jill party, how would you go about doing it?

Who would you invite? People you know, people you don't know? An equal number of Jacks and Jills?

What kinds of house rules should you have?

What other misc. plans and preparations need to be made?

This thread didn't get a ton of responses, but it might give you some ideas to build on.

It seems like the consensus is that the biggest problem is finding women who want to participate.

Your best bet for invitees may be looking in the sex-positive community. People who are comfortable with sexuality and already into swinging, kink/BDSM, polyamory, exhibitionism and voyeurism, toys, etc., are probably more likely to be interested in something like this. With that in mind, you may want to seek out local groups, start a group for fans of masturbation and exhibitionism and advertise your idea on sites like craigslist, lit personals, yahoo groups and even swingers sites. Unless you know people who would be interested, you're probably going to have to bring in some strangers you've screened.

My top rules would be:
1) NO touching others or asking them to touch you without an invitation (e.g., "Would you like to play with my nipples?" or "Would you be interested in giving me a hug?").

2) If someone declines an invite, don't ask them again or proceed to ask a bunch of other people.

3) NO drugs or alcohol. You'll be turned away at the door if you seem intoxicated.

Alternately, you could have people bring a small amount of drink to share, have someone bartend and limit people to one or two drinks.

(People do stupid shit, even in groups, when they're under the influence; you don't want one or two to ruin it for everyone.)

4) When the time comes, you must participate, rather than just sit there and watch.

5) No sex (oral, anal, vaginal) with others of any kind.

6) NO cell phones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed.

7) You may be asked by the organizer to leave at any time, for any reason. If that happens, you must leave immediately and gracefully.

(Warning people about this ahead of time may cause less of a ruckus if you do ask them to leave.)


You'll probably get a good idea of rules from swinging/lifestyle, BDSM and sex-positive groups/clubs if you do some searching.

I'd schedule an introductory period so people can get to know each other. That may include a meal, in which case I'd ask everyone to bring something to share. Games and planned discussion topics can be a good way to break the ice.

I'd likely also charge a small fee (e.g. $10-15) in an attempt to deter less desirable guests and cover anything I needed to buy for the party.

Everyone should bring their own pillows, blankets, toys, lube, porn the group would likely enjoy, etc. You'll supply a safe location, music, lighting and a generally nice atmosphere.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a couple of strong guys you trust on hand in case someone's causing trouble or needs some motivation to follow the rules or leave.

I'd probably try to balance the number of men and women, but an equal number shouldn't be necessary, since it's not a couples or group sex event.

If the first one goes pretty well, you can make it a periodic event. At that point, you may lower or eliminate the fee for those who have been good guests in the past, charge less for ladies to encourage their participation, etc.
