For what I read is about a week give or take the period for a submision to be aproved or not and we are about a day or 2 from that alloted time passing with no confirmation either way!
What's worse I see no option there for editing the submited work either even nthough the FAQs state there is!

What could be happening and what can be done to correct it?

Any help would be appreciated thx...

Chill, grasshopper.

A contest just ended, so submissions should be posting a little quicker, but it never takes just two days. Never. Unless, of course, it's a contest entry - different animal entirely.

7-10 days, unless you ask the question in here. Then, of course, you must balance a bowl of uncooked rice on your head while doing jumping jacks and counting backwards from 149,253 without spilling a single grain if you ever hope for your story to see the light of day.

Sweety, they changed the backwards counting thing from 149,253 to 765,486. You didn't get that memo?

No, they never tell me anything anymore.

There is no set time for a story to be approved. A week is a rough guideline but sometimes it can take alot longer and sometimes less.
If you want to edit your story you have to re-submit the story with the word EDIT next to the title.

P.S. Congratulations, you are the 1 billionth person to ask this question. You win...sarcasm proivided by some of Lits most influential writers.

P.P.S. Good luck with your story. :D

You're lucky RJLCyberPunk. People were in a good mood. The reason for the testiness is that the answer to your question is in the FAQs, but gets asked here on a quite regular basis. Welcome to the well read zoo. :D

I wasn't testy...I answered the question, didn't I?

:D

I wasn't testy either...I was just trying to ascertain whether Cloudy had gotten the new policy memo.

I've always wished William Gibson would write explicit sex....

Didn't he? In Neuromancer? Case and Molly in the coffin hotel after Case got his nervous system repaired?

Molly Milllions. Mmmmm. :catroar:

Yes, restrained is a good word for your and Dar's responses. Perhaps sarcastic instead of testy? :p

The real clincher is if they come back...and don't' seem too put off by it.

I think you're right -- not as explicit as I'd like, of course!

Molly Millions... Mmm, indeed... Fan fic...

I sure hope she's not the type to dig her fingernails in when she comes. ;)

"Pattern Recognition" was the last thing I've read.

I read the one with the girl named Chia Pet. That was a while ago.

Didn't like it as much as the Sprawl series. But still pretty good.

Don't read nearly as much SF as I used to. Sigh.

I can still see the cover

For some unknown reason, we always had a gigantic pile of those lying around at Borders and no one ever bought any...

It's now backwards by "7"s. The updated memo should be circulating about now. Please initial and pass it on to the next person on the list.

"Idoru" that was.

Did you read the one before it-- "Virtual Light" ?
And there's one after it-- "All Tomorrow's parties"

There could have been good sex in that series, but there isn't.

I figure it's because he didn't put Molly into it. *nods*

It's much more realistic, treating the internet the way it really is. It took me a bit to get used to that.
