I've retired myself...

I suddenly realised last year that I no longer had the long road of life ahead of me. Shit I can almost see the destination. So then I re-appraised myself and came to the conclusion that it just ain't worth trying to attain something which has already passed me by.

I'm not going to be the British Prime Minister nor marry into the Royal Family, nor become a multi-multi-billionaire or a world famous figure or anything like that.

So...I've retired myself. My business is doing well enough to keep me comfortable without knocking myself out, I've got a great apartment by the River Thames and I'm beginning to do things I've always wanted. Like posting to Literotica.

I once had a career but couldn't stand working for someone else (mind you I was in it for nearly 20 years - I was just slow to learn that my bosses were all fools!) then I started out by myself and found it was easier to work for me but harder being in charge.

Then I read last year that the life expectancy of a man is about 72 years in the West and I thought SHIT.

So I've retired myself...

And you can still aim for world fame. Grandma Moses was in her 70s before she started painting. Or if you want to pursue an easier path, you could always peruse the Guinness Book of World Records in your new-found spare time and find some quirky record to break. :D

Welcome to retirement.
It is the time in which I have accomplished the most (I am glad I did it while still very young). I am able to influence lives and thoughts and have been directly attributed to doing great things for people who dare to dream.

Who says you will never be anything?

I also came to the same conclusion and busted my butt for others and made them millions (no exaggeration) while I supported my family with very little extra. So, I started my own business, use lit as my pretend co-workers, and have a stress free working evironment. Its great, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Money has never been that important to me anyway.
