I've had a story stolen...alert for those who don't read the author's board

Hi Everyone....


As I do every once and awhile, i googled my story titles. And guess what I found. Some bitch on strapon-story.com stole chapter 3 of Wesley's Woman and posted it as her own. I have contacted her and Laurel, but you all might want to google your story titles just to be sure.

Of course, I find it stupid that she neglected to steal the other 4 chapters of the story. Most likely b/c 3 is the only one that features a strap on.

If you use them, I would strongly suggest that you check the website to see if anyone else or this chick umma has stolen any of your work.

Thank you for the head's up. The internet is a big place and I think we sometimes get comfie with our little lit world, forgetting that our little lit world is wide open to anyone.

'Ballet Diversions', 'The Perils Of Lynn 213' and a story I posted at MCStories.com have all been copied to other sites (those are the ones I can track down -having titles like 'Fallen Angel' and 'Magical Girl' makes the search that much harder, unless there's a trick involved to make it easier).
Apart from the MC story, they're at free sites, which I guess isn't the end of the world. I do get annoyed when they pop up at sites that expect some form of payment -I mean, where the heck is my share, right?

Don't search for titles - those are often changed, I am learning. Post a sentence of two from your story that contains unusual wordings, names, descriptions, etc. Easier to find.

Contact Laurel, who will contact the owners of that board. You can also contact the individual author, or if there is a public comments forum, you can claim the story as your own.

Thanks to a warning I received from another author, I checked out the strap-on site and they stole my Visit to a Stud Farm story as well. I tried to contact the website but to no avail. How do we stop this kind of thing?

And I did pm everyone who had a story stolen by the "umma" bitch - so hopefully everyone who needed to know got the info.
