All you people who have animated avs and smilies.

How do you do that?.

Find an av that you like (that is animated) upload it just like you do a "regular non animated" av.

as for the sig line.. you type in <img src=" url here "> the URL here is where ever the picture is that you want to use. I have mine on my angelfire webpage and linked to here.

That's not an animation - that is me dancing and typing!

Seriously, I go search the web for animated gifs - just use the term "animated gif" in google and you will get all kinds of matches.

The GIF I call "Cool Tux" in my sig line is one that was found by a friend I used to work with - I lost the URL and can't find it again, but at least I still have the GIF. I wish I could use him as my av, but his file size is too large, and I don't have a GIF editor.

You can download software that will let you create your own GIFs - which are essentially a series of images combined together in one file, with a particular delay period and sequence.

As for smilies - when you create a post there is a "smilies" panel to the left of the text entry screen. When you click on one of those smilies you get that smiley - or you can enter the text in yourself and it will showup.

I wish I could use him as my av, but his file size is too large, and I don't have a GIF editor.

Try www.gifworks.com. They have an editor online that is easy to use.

Even a computer dummy like me can work it.
