Growing up my parents always watched PBS. It always had interesting programs on. (For example that was the channel we always watched Cousteu's programs on.)

Like any other channel you have to pick and chose what you watch. Some of their programs get a bit preachy.

Tonight it was turned on because the wife wanted to watch the new Sherlock Holmes. (I didn't like it, but then again I'm a fan of the original.) This though was followed by a neat program hosted by Alan Alda about the history of the "Alvin". That was more interesting to me and I enjoyed it.

Now I'm watching/listening to Austin City Limits which has Steve Martin playing Blue Grass Music. I'm enjoying this.

I loved their Dogfights™ series.

Especially the ones on the Tuskegee Airmen and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

Yeah.. adult educational shows.. that's what I watched. :)

*sigh* I watched it as a child. I grew up with 'old' people, lol.
Plus we didn't have cable out at my great-grandma's.

My favorite show was 'Reading Rainbow'. :D

Nowadays we watch the Antiques Roadshow. :p

Kitty, Reading Rainbow was the BEST! Antiques Roadshow is awesome too. Best kids' programming too. Can't wait to see what concerts are scheduled for this holiday season. :)

Our local PBS stations run blocks of old Britcoms' every evening such as 'Are You Being Served?', 'Keeping Up Appearances', 'Dad's Army', 'Only Fools and Horses', and 'Waiting For God'. I've seen them scores of times and I still laugh. :)

Alan Alda is a fag, so was Jacque Cousteau...and Big Bird.
