iTunes-Songs don't always sync.

Dl'ed the new iTunes. Sometimes songs sync up and wind up on my iPod, sometimes they don't.

Any ideas?

I had that happened then realized I didn't have exactly what I wanted sync'd up checked properly in that little box....

Everything has a check.

check out the sync tab under Audio and there should be a list of the artists in your library, make sure they are checked off in there as well

had a similar problem. Itunes had to be removed and redownloaded.

It shouldn't. You have a library on your computer and it shouldn't affect it. If you want to protect your music file - and if you have an external harddrive - download your library onto it and when you're done reinstalling, and your music is missing, you have a backup.
