Hey there!

I'm not a native speaker of English but nonetheless I want to try to translate my own ramblings into this widespread and wonderful language for just too many reasons to name them all here.

The Basics:

Source language (SL): German

Target language (TL): English (suprise, surprise!)

Source Material: Erotic couplings, 7000 words in German (roughly 2 Lit-pages and some); two students in Berlin 'enjoy' a morning that changes everything.

My long sought-after ideal editor would be grounded at least solidly in German so that he or she could compare both the source material and what I've turned it into. However, I'd be pleased already if someone who understands himself as merely a 'qualified reader' would grasp at this unique opportunity. What does such a reader qualify? Well, someone who's at least a proficient native speaker, provided that he or she is endowed with a sense of style and a nose for infelicities in English.

That's it! I hope that someone suddenly feels like doing it.

greetings
AJ

Your English appears to be better than most of the posters on this forum, myself included (though I'm just an irritant, not an editor.) Are you sure you aren't the best person for the job? ;)

There are a couple of German writers roaming around here from time to time. If you haven't already heard from them, maybe they'll see the post now.

I appreciate your requirements.

Not applying for the job but would like to share. I spent 2 years at Geilenkirchen. Loved Aachen and Koln and points further soiuth.

In the same neighborhood.

Okay, after trying scotch for the first time there are just some things that make you smile.
