that Lit appears only to be for the "oldies" anymore.

Too much we're better then the people newer than us shit going on. I don't get it anymore.

I don't get that first sentence.
I think I need a copyeditor.

Listen, I don't care how much you dig him. I'm not sending you my Jamie Oliver tapes.

What ARE you talking about Lo? The oldtimers are barely posting anymore. It's sad actually.

"I think he's staging a coup."

Perhaps he's trying to. I've heard this song before and it isn't Nero fiddling. Newbies always complain about not getting enough respect - until they become oldies.

lobito this place is better than that ... it always takes awhile for newbies to ween themselves into lit ... sometimes they make an instant impression sometimes they dont ... thats normal with so many posters on lit now

ermmm...

As a ripe old newbie, I'll state that I've never felt unwanted or unwelcomed here. Of course, as long as I'm enjoying myself it wouldn't make a damned bit o'difference if I wasn't...

It's not about a coup & it's not about feeling unwanted.

I think I made myself clear enough.

Oh, and NO, I haven't had a drink today.

You can think you made yourself clear all you like.

Observation state the contrary has happened. If you were clear as you claim to be, no one would ask you what in the heck you're talking about. Would they? No one would mis-interpret you. You wouldn't be taken less than seriously by most respondants. Would you?

Try again, this time with meaning.

LMAO:D

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

It's better than fresh rocky mountain oysters, deep fried and served with a hot cocktail sauce. Hot Damn!!

I'm thinkin this is related to Siren's thread about not trusting newbies anymore?

I understand completely why she feels that way, but Lo, I think all she was saying was that she's not going to just accept anymore, she's going to wait to see what someone contributes before making a decision about them. Kind of a smart thought, if you ask me, which you didn't.

Besides, you've been here longer than I am, so what're you talkin about?

I've only had 'em with ranch. Are they supposed to be eaten with cocktail sauce?

I like them with ranch, too. I just prefer a little more spice. When I was a kid, we just had ketchup. You know, I think I can remember as a kid, my mom discovering ranch dressing, and thinking it was better than sliced bread.

lo, feeling a little flat are we?

It is better than sliced bread. You can put that shit on anything. It's like the dressing equivilant of chicken.

lobito is a cool guy everyone can get frustrated at times about lit and attitudes can clash im sure hes just venting because he feels frustrated about the sort of witch hunts that went on and plus the fact there were all those fake posters

everyone got frustrated by that

lobito you have another pm :)

I loathe the homemade ranch that is made from low-fat yogurt.

I like my ranch with a little zing. Some cayenne...or those little red firecrackers from sub-saharan Africa.

nothing like heat to bring a man to his senses.

If someone would just explain to me the point of low-fat anything, I'd really appreciate it.

No fat yogurt- 120 calories

regular yogurt- 240 calories

I'd say for me, the point is 120 calories.

Just as an example, of course.

sometimes low fat stuff can taste just as good or better

other times it tastes like wallpaper paste :)

It's also not about low-fat foods, or rocky mountain oysters.
