No kidding. It's a blizzard here, I can only imagine what it's like at elevation.

The 1 - 3 we were supposed to get at NOT elevation, has turned into more than 5. The family member up around davis was looking to get 10.

Oh, I love Davis! But the weather there...good gravy. My brother lived in Thomas for years, and we rarely got to see him in the winter months.

That's awesome. Truly beautiful country. One of my favorite spots in the whole entire world is a swimming hole at Blackwater Falls.

I imagine it must have been a bit like my upbringing...I can look back now and feel really grateful to have grown up where and how I did, but as a teenager, graduation couldn't come soon enough.

The Purple Fiddle is worth a stop, especially on the weekend. I've seen some fantastic bands there...bluegrass, Americana, folk...that sort of thing. The food is surprisingly good, and the atmosphere is really chill.
