I like the labradorite as a stone, too. I had some of the so-called "rainbow moonstone" that is very similar. It's really a variety of labradorite and not a true moonstone, even though they are both feldspars. I'm not clear on what the exact difference is.

No, one of my dealers identified it as a form of labradorite. It didn't have the play of color, just mostly blue, with streaks of opaque white. I wish I still had it, I would send a pic.
