Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp feeling in the air, the smell of fireplaces, the look of the trees turning colors. It's not quite here yet, but I'm starting to get that feeling of anticipation I get around this time every year.

Soon, I'll be able to dig all of my sweaters out of storage. The fact that I am not going back to school feels strange. I have the urge to go to the store and stock up on pens and notebooks.

Right now it's all overcast and breezy outside. My honey and I are going camping tomorrow night, and I can't wait. I hope this weather holds, and doesn't turn back into summer.

What's your favorite time of year?

The colors are awesome. It's nice here, but I went to a friend's wedding in Kentucky one October. I fell in love with that state just for the Fall colors.

I love fall as well but would chose spring cause it pulls me out of the winter. It fells like fall around here cause of the drought. Lots of trees leaves have turned and fallen. So it does Smell like fall. I guess the fall colors will come early this year....... at least here on the east coast.....

i like the fall the best, i can get the hounds out and sit down on a log in the cool night air and almost feel the frost falling on those crisp oak leaves, i am getting excited just thinking about all those hunting trips coming up this fall!!

Ugh! I hope we're through with that here. It was okay for a while, but I'm ready for summer to be over.

It was like that here last week. It has broke for the short time being and we are getting lots of Badly needed rain, too. But I'm afraid the drought has taken its toll and our up coming fall will not be as bright or long as before because of it???

Ah yes...fall...the best of all seasons, in my opinion...why?

Football

All types...high school, college, and Pro....

Not to mention the huge game my friends and i are planning for columbus day weekend...oh yes...i cannot wait!!!

Favorite season for me is summer. I love it - I always feel the complete freedom I had as a kid and school was out. Heat doesn't really bother me, and I live in a place that doesn't have high humidity.

Besides, I hate, absolutely hate being cold!

I like summer, but I am the opposite of you. I would rather be cold than hot. I like to bundle up in warm clothes and drink hot drinks. Summer is fun for a while, but I am always glad when it is over.

I do love that "Summer Vacation" feeling I get at the beginning of summer....even if I'm not really on vacation.

Heh.

I forgot about football. My last boyfriend was a football nut. I'm not, but I like all the socialization of football season. All the get togethers to watch games, and the Superbowl parties. Fun stuff.

Oh yes, it's starting to feel like fall. I mean, IT WAS ONLY 94 DEGREES LAST NIGHT!

Did I even mention that there’s something not quite right with Texas?
Now some Texas will be along to tell me that’s cool for this time of year and I’ll smack them with a mackerel, I will too.

It's either ungodly hot or raining like hell here this time of year. I spent a week in the Rockies one September a few years ago. Were's that damn wishing well . . . ?

Haha.

I guess I should titled the thread, "It's starting to feel like Fall where I live.

I am glad all the heat is over, but just wait. I'll be bitching about the cold in a couple of months. I'm never satisfied. :D
