I always refuse to wear green. I'm Irish, so I don't have to pretend for the day (everyone else gets to pretend to be cool like me ). Unfortunately, I have a very long show tomorrow at the Field Museum, so no drinking for me.

The real stuff, yes . . . although the exported Guiness isn't bad, either.

I'm strictly Dutch/German stock, which means that any excuse to drink a hearty dark brew is good enough for me. But, to be honest, The best beer in the world is MacCuen's Scotch Ale. I figure the geography and shared history is enough to rationalize a raising of that fine concoction on this day.

No insult to the Irish intended.
