No that is called walking short! That is a six foot ladder.

The boat ladder is OK IF you like pulled muscles or you are tall.

At 5 ft 5 in or so that back ledge comes out at my chest. it's a 26 ft Boat...on a trailer.
So a ladder for land steps is reasonable.
